Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have players on their bench who would walk into most top sides in Europe.

This is the level required now. Those two sides have set a new benchmark in regards to squad building.

the majority of there bench players end up unhappy though and wanting to leave. morata, kimmich...... if we buy sanchez who do you drop ? we will play our strongest team pretty much every prem/champions league game swell. i have no idea how you keep them all happy.

Not even Bayern have as strong attacking options on the bench as we'd have if we got Sanchez, and Real Madrid are struggling to keep their bench players happy even with much rotation and look certain to sell at least James and Morata.

They may be struggling to keep them happy but they are winning trophy after trophy, including Champions League's.

If a player gets unhappy then sell him and buy someone else, at the end of the day it's winning trophies that matters.

Sorry but no chance. Real Madrid are the biggest club in the world and most players are simply happy to be there. I love City but we're no where near that level, to think we could accommodate Aguero, Jesus, Alexis, B. Silva, Sterling, David Silva, Sane and De Bruyne in one squad is insane.

I agree. I love city too but I'm level headed enough to not place our club in the same level as RM, bayern and Barca. I have a feeling we might just promote some of our youngsters but I have no idea who are good enough in attack. We will definitely buy players to fill the departing fullbacks though.

Exactly that. You don't even try to keep them happy. You overstock quality players and every 2-3 years you know one or two who won't quite make it. You take a financial hit in selling them and bring in a couple more. Throw them in the tank with the rest of the sharks and see who's left...and repeat.

Yep. Like the rumours of Isco being unhappy for most of the season, despite his good form. Once bale gets injured, they can replace quality with quality.

It seems inevitable he will be leaving Arsenal; it's just a question of which club he will be joining.

If we were to somehow sign Sanchez and Aguero remained, our attacking options could look something like this:

De Bruyne
Sterling
Sane
B Silva
D Silva
Jesus
Aguero
Sanchez

Whilst I will no doubt be castigated again for stating as such, how on earth could we possibly accommodate all of those mentioned above?!

Unless of course Pep's masterplan next season is to win each game 16-13...
