Manchester City have denied a host of stories from mainstream news sources that they have offered Raheem Sterling and cash to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, Simon Mullock of the Mirror has claimed on Twitter.

Told Man City have not offered Sterling in swap for Sanchez. That's not to say Arsenal don't want him but City want cash only deal

With more and more big name sources, including Sky Sports, ESPN and The Guardian, backing up the story by John Cross that Sterling has been offered in exchange for Alexis, this crazy story had seemed to have some legitimacy to it.

And perhaps it still does, but Mullock, who is known to have contacts at the club, has received information that City want Alexis in a cash-only deal with Raheem not involved. Having scored key goals in both of City’s most recent fixtures, and given his age, it would be a hotly contested decision to let him join Arsenal.

More emerging information suggests the Sterling info is coming from the Arsenal side, rather than City’s, who prefer to hand over cash for Alexis.

Really either coast here. I've found Americans are on twitter via their mobiles more than they are on their workstations... then again, perhaps that is just my trusty team of millennial analysts.
I mean I happen to be on vacation in Florida but during transfer day all bets are off haha

Don't like the sound of this Sterling swap talk, he's started really well this season and is still young, hope there's no truth to it. If its Sterling that hangs in the balance of this deal I'd rather say no deal
Ain't happening stop tormenting yourself it ain't frigging going to happen.

£60m + add ons.

Not sure what is Bollocks. Sanchez is one of the best in the world Sterling isn't ?

I like Sterling but just stating a fact.

I struggle to see where Sterling fits in especially with Bernardo too.
Is that you, Mr. Ibe?

Like I said I like Sterling just please don't try and tell me that in a big Champions League game you'd rather he be one v one on the keeper !
Sanchez is a better finisher at the moment. with his pace I'd fancy Sterling as being the more likely player to get in a one v one.
