So many things wrong with the sterling reports hen you think about it
1. Why would we give a rival a player like sterling?
2. Why would we lose sterling just to get a player we could get for free next summer?
3. Sterling is home grown and young, sanchez is foreign and old.
4. Sterling wouldn't be up for it.
5. Hilariously, the media still can't accept what we are building here with our filthy petrodollars.

For the love of GOD, please help!

Certain career Journalists are still pushing Sterling + cash for Sanchez.

Right.

We paid £50mill for Sterling.

He's young. He's English. He's in the England team. He's playing well and scoring goals. Transfer fee's have gone through the roof.

So, why would he still only be worth £50mill and cash to make up for Arsenal's valuation of Sanchez, who has one year left on his contract.

What am I missing?

Or are these career Journalists just s*** at their jobs?

It's hard to put an exact figure on Sterling, but looking at all the silly transfer fees being paid and quoted ATM, if we tried to sign him now, we wouldn't get much change from £70mill,

So if Arsenal want Sterling and we're open to selling him, I'd want Sanchez and at least £10mill of Arsenal.

Right?

JRB you're still way undervaluing Sterling. Have you seen his recent performances? I would argue he is twice the player he was when he joined us, add in massive transfer inflation in the two years since, the home grown tax, the fact he is only 23. If coutinho is 135m then you have to be looking at similar for Raz, maybe 115m and I think that's conservative. However you only get those kind of fees when you don't have to sell and have tied the player to a long term contract.

You might argue that Sanchez is more of the finished article, a more clinical finisher but on the flip side he's 28, not homegrown, doesnt want to be at Arsenal and most importantly is in the last year of his contract its either xx million now or nothing. All those things being considered you would be looking at Sterling plus 50m in return for Sanchez. That would be Sanchez at 60m tops and Sterling at 110m

If their circumstances were similar you might take a straight swap, the slightly more finished article and goal scorer vs the pace, potential increased sell on value and greater longevity of Sterling.

To be honest having seen Sterling recently and considering his value as home grown, there is no way I would swap him for Sanchez.

Cash only for me, take it or leave it.

Anyone not entirely happy about the sanchez going to city situation? It seems like a giant fuck you to our youth system and current players we've been developing such as sterling, sane and jesus. He'd obviously improve our team but what would be the point in developing players, seeing them do really well only to replace them anyway

The big forehead picture is Photoshopped. Look where the tree meets his head at the bottom and you can see the gap.
