I think this will happen, but I think we'll push it close. Thinking about it logically, if the move falls through and Sanchez has to return to Arsenal, they then have a very unhappy player who will be leaving on a free transfer next summer. So not only do they have to put up with someone doesn't want to be there creating an atmosphere in the dressing room, but they miss out on a sizeable transfer fee.

I just hope we don't try to be too clever negotiating the fee. At this stage let's just get the deal done. If he had say 3 years on his contract the fee would be significantly more than what we pay now.

and get stuck with his wages! they can't even be like its the world cup season and he'll need to play to play for Chile because he'll always be the first name on their team sheet!

We still have to be careful. We all want the deal done but if they have asked for £70m and we just rock up this morning offering it, whats to stop them thinking they can move the goalposts again? I think a 2nd offer in the region of £60m will be rejected and the deal will end up getting done for around £65m.

We're just really messing around with Arsenal now. They know we want Alexis and we'll pay for him, but they won't get the money to make a replacement in that time. Given how their board is, they'll sign fuck all with whatever the dumbfcks have!

They are a wounded animal, very unpredictable as to what they will do. I would offer an olive branch, and meet them halfway between the difference. Get it done or we may loose out.

I think this deal is completely done but we are holding back the announcement to give Arsenal as much time as possible to sign a replacement. Pep wants good relationship with Arsenal that is why imo sanchez hasnt forced the move, This is guesswork before anyone asks.

Maybe no official 2nd bid but the Arse will know exactly what they can expect via the agents. This allows them to secure Draxler. PSG seem keen to offload players so it is down to Wenger and co to persuade him to join a sinking ship
