Skysports - SANCHEZ LATEST

Arsenal have received no further bids for Alexis Sanchez and will not accept a cash offer as they don't have enough time to do a deal for the level of player they require to replace the Chile international, Sky sources have told us.
The Gunners feel they've done good business getting £40m for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the last year of contract and are not minded to sell Sanchez, who they want to keep at the club.

yeah, yeah, yeah.

No matter how you look at it, Sanchez staying is the least likely scenario.

The board, and ultimately Kroenke, run that club as pure business. Wenger's new contract may well be two fingers up at the fans, but in the end it's a business decision based on continued cash flow. Pissing north of 60m up the wall is unthinkable.

Then, further, add the burned bridges that now exist with Sanchez. He's gone within a year to City and everyone knows it. Wenger knows it, the fans know it, the media knows it and Sanchez knows it. He'll get dogs abuse from the support, hounded by the anti-City media and have a dumpster fire of a season with a club without aspirations beyond surviving the drop at this point.

He could stay, but, at this point, I don't see it.

Txiki, what the

Sky have been objectively shit this summer and their coverage of the Sanchez transfer completely farcical this last few days, so you'll forgive me if I'm skeptical of this in the extreme.

Why haven't we put a 2nd offer down!?

Probably waiting to see how they're getting on in signing a replacement (eg Mahrez or Lemar). If at say 6pm we have good reason to believe they've got someone lined up the 2nd bid will be £60m. If its obvious that there is no replacement then we would have to bite the bullet and offer £70m + Delph + Mangala.
