Difference is, in the summer they thought selling him would be them losing their best player who would single handedly win them a bunch of points, now they have seen what he's been like this year and are probably more alright with letting him go.Just think if that had been the case he would have been sold in the summer.
Personally think the transfer in January would do more harm than good tbh, for all the talk of how much it would help us, I think he'd disrupt a happy camp. Can't help but feel the very public courtship is one of the bigger factors in Aguero having a bit of a sulk on. Don't really see the players responding well to being dropped when we've been winning every game, for a guy who hasn't played as well as any of them. I don't really buy into the belief that his poor form is just because he's unhappy and that he could just turn it on like a switch if he moved here.
If we were hell bent on getting him, in the summer on a free would make much more sense to me. Really wouldn't want to upset the apple cart whenever everything is going so well, don't really see the benefit to it
