Timeline/Recap;

- Maks Cardenas, a Chilean journalist who first broke Bravo to City last year, reported Pep's interest in Alexis Sanchez in February.

- Cardenas updated in early April that if it's Sanchez's choice, he wants to go to City.

- Several ITKs on Blue Moon report City are making Sanchez a top target this summer, including @tolmie's hairdoo

- Bayern Munich are linked to Sanchez by several mainstream media publications in the UK and Germany, including BILD.

- Cardenas updates in early May that Sanchez still wants City, but Arsenal want to push for Bayern. Sanchez's agent also favours a Munich move, as his other headline client, Arturo Vidal, plays there.

- More updates in May about Alexis from Cardenas writing for Chilean media corp Coopertiva about Sanchez having his heart set on being reunited with Pep, but Arsenal pushing hard.

- Reports emerge in the media, likely leaked by Arsenal, that the gooners offer to make Sanchez the highest paid player in the PL, increasing his £180k per week wage to £280k per week.

- By late May, Bayern seemingly take a step back in pursuit of Sanchez with their chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitting, in an interview with BILD, the club couldn't afford to compete with the money being offered as wages.

- Several UK journalists, including Sam Lee, maintain City remain confident of landing Sanchez and a meeting allegedly takes place, to that effect, in London a little over a week ago.

- Yesterday, Cardenas updates via Twitter that Sanchez is close to a move to a new "City". Arsenal still pushing, however, for him to go to Munich.

- Also yesterday, Gerard Romero reports Sanchez will be a City player in "a few days". Romero is a Catalonian radio host with close connections to Barca, and, in particular, Guardiola. Last year he was the first to break the news of Stones, Sane, Jesus and Nolito, to City.

- @mattyb posts to say Sanchez's people have been reportedly looking for housing in Manchester for a number of weeks.

- Cardenas tweets again with a contemplative picture of Sanchez, which he captioned "City or Bayern?" When pressed which it is, he says City.

Great post that mate.

Marca saying Arsenal still refusing to sell to an English rival but city determined and should Arsenal sign a player like Mahrez then that could change lol

You then go on to talk about just our wingers. However if you look at our front 5 spots as you did for Madrid you find we have D Silva, B Silva, KDB, Sterling, Sane, Aguero, Gundogan, Jesus, that is 8 players if one gets injured there should be no dips and the slightly smaller numbers mean less unhappy players if you add in the potential purchase of Sanchez then I think we compare quite favourably to the depth of arguably the best club side in Europe
I talked about the wingers because thats the real area of concern. We dont have issued at striker spot or centre mid. My issue with winger depth is my main concern which you ignored to fit your narrative.

Love this for 2 reasons.

Imagine Sanchez with Serg, Jesus, De Bruyne, Silva, Silva2, Sane. Stop it! ;-)

And we'd get to see this again next season at the Etihad. :-) Classic!
