Alexis Sanchez

United are simply offsetting the wages they will lose this summer on big nose and bog brush, so they can easily afford this deal.

What I now know for certain, £400k per week was offered by Chinese representatives last summer. Sanchez had no desire to play his football there.

What he and his agent did do, however, was use that figure as a benchmark when it also came to speaking to both Bayern and Paris.

Bayern were not prepared to even go anywhere near £300k per week and even Paris told them he would have to wait due to the Neymar and Mbappe deals.

United were told over Christmas by Sanchez that they had rejected £400k per week from elsewhere, and that he still only wanted to play for Pep.

United simply took a punt when they knew City were dragging heels over whether to do the deal in January, insisting they could match that offer from China/related fees.

Mourinho's recent comments telling his board he needed more money to compete with City was also with Sanchez in mind, he knew there was an outside chance.

I think he's done a selling job on the player since.

We are still waiting to sort the KDB deal, so I do think Kev's agent would have been emboldened to ask Sanchez money?

whats with Brennans latest comments about us holding a talk today about Sanchez?

Is he a United player?

if he does goes to united it will be our loss because the way market is going where 75- 100 million players arent unusal any more 10 million extra shouldn't be a big deal. It reminds me of hazard situation , i still think however he may come here

Is it over then?

Goal don't really attempt to break stories anymore, they are more aligned to keeping onside with clubs, rather than putting backs up.

In that respect, if Sam Lee has tweeted this morning that it's over, then I would wager a pretty strong guess that was an official steer at that time.

Interestingly, seemingly United are very confident but still wary of exposure to a major u-turn.

Sam Lee said that last night but Brennan has posted an article this morning saying Soriano, Txixi and Pep are going to have a discussion about Sanchez.

God knows.

Pretty much what I suspected. Our deliberation cost us. In any case, if the club haven't completely lost their mind, they would walk away from this deal. We're in the works for contract renewal/extension for KdB, Sane, Jesus and Sterling. If we agree to pay Sanchez 400k pw, then get ready to get fucked by the agents of those players because in no shape or form is KdB a lesser player than Sanchez and Sane, Jesus and Sterling all have a higher ceiling than him.

I sincerely hope we hold our nerve on this one. Keep the powder dry and we can bring an as yet unspecified top forward into City as and when they become available. Sanchez is a 2nd rank player, no better than what we have, and very expensive. Just not worth it. He's already below the level RVP was when he went there, and I don't see him as they type of player who can help them win trophies. All it will do is heap pressure on the manager and eat into their resources. £400k pw. lol

If that's the case then do you think we will wait to sort KDB before we do any further business?

No.

I don't know of any other player/potential target out there who is asking this type of money present.

Sadly, a Sanchez United deal will still make a rod for our own backs, regardless.

Top players and agents will simply use it as a pretty big bargaining chip.

Why the hell would the rags even want a player that clearly favoured us? I wouldn’t want us to sign a player who would rather play for the scum.

Is this 400k figure net or gross
