If it's true he's talking to City now, then it likely means there never was a deal, it was all a load of bullshit, & he hasn't gone back on his word. Probably just a framework for one, & now that Arsenal have agreed to accept offers, we & Utd & Liverpool etc are allowed to talk to him.

If he demands 350k pw he will either go to Utd or stay at Arsenal & cash in.

If he'll accept a figure within our budget, then he'll sign for us.

Hoefully he can turn his hand to playing cb if that is the case.

What he ought to do is tell Arsenal to f off, not go anywhere til the summer and they don't get a penny. They messed around last summer leaving it to the very last minute to try and find a replacement, they don't deserve a fee. He just has to sit tight for what 4 months.
