The thing is all we’re hearing is what the media, the rags and arsenal are saying. It’s not in any of their hands at all. Only Sanchez knows what he’s gonna do, it’s completely in his court

But the rags isn’t a significant upgrade on arsenal! So if it’s money he’ll surely wait 6 months and go free agent. It makes no sense to go to the rags. They’ll play a more defensive system than arsenal too so he’ll score less

ManU are at least willing to spend and obviously want to win the P/L title.

Arsenal are content to finish 4th or better and are - for whatever reason (manager, board, owner, ?) - not willing to spend.

So, yes, ManU are an upgrade to Arsenal - but playing for a defense first manager in a team 2 or 3 rebuilding years from success - plus the fact the Mourinho is almost guaranteed to self-destruct to the detriment of ManU before the rebuild finishes - crazy to join ManU if you want to play exciting football and win trophies.

Presumably Pep and Jose have some idea what Sanchez is saying. They cannot be in the dark.

The rumour about Pep talking to him today sounds odd.

If City pulled out last night as the briefing was after the game according to the 'bye' conversation with his agent reported when Pep learned he was talking to United then what would have made him talk to Sanchez today unless somebody told him there was a very good reason.

Because if that happened after yesterday's principled stand by the club if Pep did call Sanchez and he still follows the money that will be used against us big time as Sanchez turned Pep down rather than we having the moral high ground rightly so yesterday.

So it is hard to see that call being real unless there was a very good reason to think it was worth doing.

I’m not sure who, but I reckon a replacement is in place- think both parties are getting their respective details finalised..
