I understand your point however market forces mean wages and transfer fees dont stay still very long.
The reality is that if you want the highest quality then you have to stump up the cash and move with the market (whatever the market demands). If you don't then you will not get the best players and be left behind. That's the reality.
In the summer the world's best players will be asking the same salaries. Are we going to meet the market or go bargain hunting ? That's what interest me because we refused VVD's transfer fee and are doing the same for Sanchez. This is not a good sign

+1 ;)

I agree mate....and the club has had a big part to play in transfer fees, the last few years. We've helped set that market....50mil for a fullback etc. The market is what it is and we'll get left behind on many more deals if we not willing to keep up! 350k a week will be normal for top players very soon and thats on top of a large transfer fee. Here we have one of the best forwards in the world wanting a high wage but can be had for a very low transfer fee....walking away is mistake when it could likely cost us more for a lesser talent over the summer.

Various sources report that the Sanchez to United deal depends on Mkitaryan's decision to lower his wages and join Arsenal! If he refuse the deal is dead!

Sam Lee's new article. It's good one.

Pep and Txiki don't like being lied to and having people go back on their word. Have to respect that.

However you just know that if Sanchez goes to the rags he'll score the winner in the derby!

Very mafiaesque. Txixi does not forgive.
Look out for the horses head under your pillow!
Very good article and gives us an insight in terms of what we thought all along.
