maybe sanchez is trying to price himself out of a move to PSG by asking for ridiculous wages...

he has unfinished business having not won the prem league.

If he wants half a million a week then forget it. The only player worth paying that is Messi. If it's all about cash he can do one.

Doesn't really match up with the idea he's desperate to leave Arsenal asking for wages like that. They are probably nonsense figures or if They are true he has to be pricing himself out on purpose so it only leaves us. Lets see.

You could see it in the body language with Pep last season. I really think he wants to spend his peak with Pep again. Right now, his desire is the ultimate Pep player.

Really lol.... link to where he 'agreed personal terms with us' and don't embarrass yourself quoting self proclaimed itks on here... complete nonsense.
actually a bunch of different sources said we already agreed terms with him. articles came out around july8-10. not saying its fact but come on bro

The thing with the odds is people putting money on what the reports are saying. There are probably noises coming from PSG. Meanwhile we are wrapped up in sorting the full backs out. If we believe we have Sanchez' word and met his demands then we don't need to approach arsenal yet. We don't seem to have made our move yet so everyone's assuming we're out of the running.

Yeah, Dembele or Mbappe would be the preferred alternatives but not sure either are attainable/affordable this summer. Leaves us a bit of a problem if Sanchez does go to PSG. Wonder if it could even lead to a rethink on Iheanacho?!

Without wishing to suck up, I did wonder the same.

(If you don't mind my being bold enough to make this humble contribution, boss sir.)

Can we jyst put crazy offers in to fuck all parties about, he's not coming in so we could at least disrupt everyone.

Sanchez is on some 130k at Arse, that about right??
He could have moved to sunny Munich, but asked for 400k!!, which was a slap in Rummenigge's face.
Now he slaps the frogs asking for 500k...

What is Sergio on? 220k?
Sanchez wouldn't get much more at City I suppose. So no panics there.

Now what if Sanchez wants to work only with Pep?
He just won't sign for PSG.
Could he or his agent talk about a possible agreement with City for next summer to put more pressure on Arsenal?
His risk would be staying there, no CL, permanent media talk about the situation. Would Arsenal want that?

This one could go to the last day of the window with us still being involved.
City might end up without an additional goal scorer and use the options we have right now, which might be enough as well.

In the meantime sign all we need for our defence.

God. I'd resigned myself to this not happening and now you're all giving me hope.

To add to it: if arsenal are willing to sell to PSG it shows that they accept the logic of selling him instead of losing him on a free. In that case, if he does decline Paris, then that puts City back in pole position.

Whilst we are not being reported as actively looking at other attacking options, there may still be legs in this, particularly if the £500k/week demand is true as that is simply telling psg to do one

Has anyone really thought that agreeing to terms with Sanchez would the the stumbling block it was for Bayern and possibly PSG? Will always be Wenger. I'm not getting that drawn into it since I don't think Arsenal will sell to us.

to be honest there is really single one natural goal scorer in our team - Aguero. With all attacking creativity and quality the others get, they are in no way goalscorers. Maybe KDB if he would play nearer the goal, could be the one and I'm not sure about Bernard, but Silva, Sterling and Sane are not solution for scoring more goals.

I'm not sure we have enough funds to add quality goal scorer this summer but that is definitely an area we must add to next summer. And that has to be a quality and depending on Aguero's status and quality this year, maybe not only one player.

Not poo-pooing your post but, if they and Kun averaged +3 or +4 between them, that would make a significant impact. Is that unrealistic? Combine that with leaking a few less goals and.....hey presto! ;)
