Alexis Sanchez

You can imagine what the headlines in the Mirror, the Daily Fail, the Star, the Sun, etc would be if Jose and United were after Sanchez.

Then again, it's City who are after Sanchez and......(no link)

If Arsenal want to be 'World Class' then they're going to have to start on a long path involving a new manager, more financial backing in the transfer market and solid performances in the Champions League, and by the time they get there Sanchez will be long retired.

Expect a lot more of this for the next few weeks - its going to be a long drawn out affair. According to a few Arsenal sites the Ox and Ozil looking to see out the last 12m of their contracts - with Sanchez as well that's just too much to kiss goodbye to - I think he will be ours come the end of the transfer window, providing, as was said a few weeks ago, he has the bottle to see it out and go down to the wire!!

I don't get this idea of Arsenal keeping him a year only for him to come to us for free a year later.

If the end result is the same yet you will miss out on £50m+, whilst likely keeping an unhappy player, are Arsenal really gaining?

Unless they win the league and hope he changes his mind and decides to go abroad instead, maybe.

I have said on here before that if we had finished outside the top 4 and Sergio wanted out I would sell. Why keep a player who doesn't want to be here?!

1. Because they're Tarquin cnuts.
2. Because like the dippers they are congenitally unable to accept the new reality that City are a more attractive destination than themselves. In their heads it's still 1998 and St Thierry is still putting clubs like ikkle City to the sword in his sleep, and they can't wrap their heads around the fact that the sands of time have irrevocably shifted. That, and the Van Persie episode, is what underpins their idiotic determination to cling on to someone who doesn't want to be there. Think Pulp Fiction and Marcellus Wallace telling Butch to ignore the sting when the time comes to take a dive. "That's pride fucking with you", he says. "Well fuck pride." Trouble is of course, people like Wenger can't accept that.
3. As a result of 1. and 2. they will now engage in Operation Blame Deflection. By the end of this window they may or may not have sold Sanchez to us, but they will unquestionably have turned the lad into a greedy, grasping, traitorous hate figure, courtesy of their mates in the press. Raheem Sterling all over again.

Funny thing is I'm not even that bothered if he comes. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to have him, but if it meant we went after Dembele or Mbappe instead I wouldn't lose any sleep at all

We've already missed out on him 2 times.

The first time when he opted for Barcelona.

The second time when he went to Arsenal because the Sanchez moneyended up being the FFP fine imposed by UEFA. I stand corrected on that one.

This is our (and his) last chance to get him. Unless he stays for another season and leaves on a free.
If he stays on at Arsenal surely that will mean he'll sign a new contract? There's no way they'll allow him to leave on a free

Thinks it's now or never with Sanchez tbh and Pep has convinced him to come.

If you don't believe what Wenger says about Sanchez, then follow what happens with Giroud. With Lacazette arriving what Arsenal decide to do with Giroud will be a good indicator of their real intentions with regards to Sanchez. At the moment Giroud linked with a move to Everton. If they turn down a bid for a player who will be 31 next season, it tells me they are planning for Sanchez's departure, and vice versa

It's not down to Sanchez, he's under contract.
