I think it's more a case of if we don't sign him this year the chances are we will sign somebody else which would negate the need to add him next season.
 
I've said this from the start, but you can ignore every single source but Maks Cardenas. This guy is as nailed on for Chilean players in Europe as it comes.

Not only was he the first to mention our interest in Sanchez, in February no less, but he was the first to call us signing Bravo last year too. If Cardenas says Sanchez has a deal with City, you can believe as much.

Still a deal with Arsenal to be reached though.
