We can say what we like to the player (as long as we're not tapping him up). He remains an Arsenal player, and they can sell to who they like. We would have to make them an offer they could not refuse for them to sell him to us, but where would that put us?

Perhaps this was needed for us to go and blow PSG out of the water with a huge bid. We've not been heavily linked with any other attackers and I can't imagine we'll accept them beating us again. Let's see how we react. We'll have to pay at least 10m more than whatever they offer anyway.
