He wants to leave and has done for a while.
And that's my point.
He's paid a shit load of money to play - and because he doesn't want to he (and you seemingly) thinks it's ok to behave like a nine year old who doesn't get his way

I don't know if today's match brought the move closer or left it out there in limbo because Arsenal does not appear to be a rational organisation run by rational human beings. As Neville said, how could Mustafi not get into that back three - and yet there he sat on the bench, with a face like thunder for 90 minutes! What is going on there?

And then in central midfield they had Ramsey and Xhaka - both of whom go into the final year of their contract next summer - alongside three players who are refusing to renew and are in the last year of their contract. Up front is Welbeck - who also enters the last year of his contract next summer.

To Wenger this is the ideal state of affairs to get the best out of players: what we saw was a rag bag of players with little commitment to the cause and precious little professional pride turn in a truly dismal performance . Now, what does the club do? The logical answer would appear to be to solve the problem of what appears to be at best a largely disinterested group by selling the most disaffected - notably Sanchez - but Wenger appears to be firmly rooted in this dream world where the players are busting a gut to earn a new contract.

Time for Silent Stan to open his mouth and make himself heard. And make sure you speak from the heart, Stan - it's right under where you keep your wallet.
Agreed. If they are gambling on keeping Sanchez and Ozil and losing big fees on them in the hope of getting cl football then that is a huge risk because at this point they look nowhere near a top four team in any aspect. Surely they would have been better selling both early in the window and using the money to rebuild sensibly with plenty of time to secure players. I can see them having a very tricky few years ahead indeed.

I'm in the don't want him camp.

Would he improve us, yes 100%.

But he's acted the utter c**t with them. If it was us we'd be fuming.

Why because he doesn`t want to sign a new contract ? How strange.
I am not in the don't want him camp but there were a few things that happened last season that made me think I was not totally convinced he had a great attitude. Kicking off with team mates at training which got him dropped for Liverpool away, then laughing on the bench when they conceded a goal in that game for example. Not anywhere near a deal breaker imo but I can understand why some people don't like his attitude.

He's faked an injury for a month and walked around the pitch today.

The honourable thing to do is ask to be moved, but it would cost him a loyalty bonus so he hasn't done that.

If he wants to leave for us, fine. But be professional in the meantime rather than posting fake flu photos.

And you know that for a fact do you ????

No. Not anxious at all.
He's a very good player.
Sorry if me expressing my views has confused you
You just seem very set even though several posters has offered you reasons he has been frustrated where he is,pep has managed him before and he wouldn't accept anyone with a bad attitude

Maybe that is all the fault of the Arsenal overlords. They gave him the money but they also sold him a dream, one of a club being one of England's highest profile clubs and one that was one of the most feared throughout Europe and was greatly expected to challenge for the Champions League. The reality has been far different. Instead, the spending has been relatively low, the Board being more interested in profit rather than trophies, and being well supported by Wenger who signed a string of second raters as if he was buying them with his own money. No wonder they are queuing up to get out.

Coutinho asked for a move and has not got one. Perhaps he has been told it will make no difference and he has to use 'other means' to persuade Wegner they need him gone.

Many assume that not asking for a transfer is all about money. Most of us think Wegner is as stubborn as hell and determined to hang on to the bitter end or beyond.

A transfer request might have made zero difference. Sanchez was the one in the best position to know. And he clearly wants to go where Wegner does not want him to - hence turning down interest from PSG and Bayern.

This is not really about handing in a transfer and everything will work out. It will or it won't but the transfer request or lack of it will not be why.

Wegner and the money men will be.

As I said originally I know I'm in the minority.

Of all the reasons people have offered the most compelling to me is Pep's own view.
The most common one, that he is frustrated, doesn't impress me at all. He's paid a huge amount of money and should do his job professionally; he simply does not do this consistently.

I was really keen that we get him a few years ago before he went to Barca and no doubt he will do much better for us than he did at Arsenal - doesn't change my opinion that he's got an attitude problem though

Just watched Wenger press conference after the game. Says theres things he cannot speak about as to why players didn't perform. Maybe knows transfers of players are happening?
Hmmm interesting wonder if any of the media have an inkling what he's on about, might be about players leaving, and someone did post about a bust up in the tunnel at halftime I think ...
