He wore a for sale sign tonight given who they were playing and knowing we would be watching. Not an Arsenal shirt. If he does not leave in Jan he will not be putting in performances like that for Wegner knowing he is gone anyway in June.

So if we offer enough and pretty much what we would pay him anyway in the Summer for a signing on Arsenal would be idiots not to take it.

We will not pay silly money and if Arsenal ask that we will rightly wait and let them lose everything.

Just depends how stubborn Wegner is or if pressure to not lose him for zilch comes from above.

He could have as big an impact on the rest of our season as VVD at Liverpool might.

For less than half the price.

We will get injuries and they will not hurt half as much if he is here. Plus he will likely have plenty of games to play himself into Pep's ideas with less pressure given our points advantage allowing experimentation that we will not get at the start of a fresh season in August if we wait.

Sanchez won't help us win the league, we should win that without him, the question is do we need him to win the champions league. This will be what the board consider when they decide whether to bid for him this month or get him for free at the end of the season. I'm indifferent either way tbh, getting a player in of his quality is never a bad thing but if we wait until the summer the satisfaction of signing him on a free from Arsenal will be very very sweet.

Fuck the money. If we get him now & he helps us get over the line silverware-wise, £20 - £30m will look like chump change & an inspired signing.

At this stage of the season, we need to consider the end game as long as it's within our budget, rather than us getting one over on Arsenal.

Agree.

I don’t get this one up over Arsenal.

It’s not my money so how do I feel vindicated?

What would annoy Arsenal is seeing him lift a title at the end of the season and potentially score some important goals in the latter rounds of the Champions League.

Exactly.

Liverpool have just spunked £75m on VVD to ensure CL football for next season & an FA Cup run this.

If they go further in this years' CL because of him, he begins the process of justifying their outlay.

Don't want him. I like our 1st choice wingers would prefer a player like Justin kluivert, a young hungry player who fits into a squad like ours. Yaya is the last mememe player left in our squad and I don't want another. The team is close and that shows in celebrations and style of football. Sanchez looks to me like a mard are and future dis harmony.

Please get this guy in Jan, he will improve us massively.
Forget the free rubbish get him signed to a 5 year deal in January pay over £40m.
Let's not miss out again over money.

And if one of our 1st choice wingers gets injured in February?
It’s not only that...at the moment, Sané appears to have no competition down the left, and occasionally plays like it. Pep needs to make sure these young uns don’t let this season go to their head.

Sanchez gives you options, as he can play in multiple positions. However, I wouldn’t pay serious money for him this January. A £12M (£1M/mo.) contract, plus transfer fee is not chump change, especially to a company that only made £1M in profit last year! No, I’d save him for summer, let him have a good rest, nd bring him in fit and healthy, raring to go. As some have said, he is a big personality and I don’t want anything to disrupt what we have going right now.
