Still can’t belive Wenger is going to let Ozil and Sanchez leave for nowt. As a fan I can’t imagine how I would feel if our two best players wanted out and were just waiting to leave at the end of season for nothing and we just went along with it.

We've been fairly lucky at the top this season where we haven't had any major injuries. That won't last indefinitely and a few of the players are starting to look tired. Fixtures are coming thick and fast. If the club can do a deal at around £20-30m then they'd be crazy not to. He'd give us a greater chance of going far in the Champions League and he'd help break the deadlock against teams playing 90 minutes with a low-block (which is almost every team we face now).

If you give me the choice of £30m for Evans or £30m for Sanchez (and sticking with Mangala), I'm taking Sanchez regardless of how long is left on his contract.

I'm not getting this "rocking the boat" talk, if you have that mentality you wouldn't sign anyone during the summer or Jan?

He strengthens our squad and gives us more options going forward whilst we're still fighting on all four fronts, Pep has created a togetherness in the squad and i can't see an addition in the forward line or defence hampering that to be honest.
If you are sane, worked hard to get into a position where your name is first on the team sheet, then along comes this new guy and he is getting your place cos the manager says you need a rest. If not sane then aguero or sterling. If your answer to that is they should just do as they are told and be team players it doesn't stop them being fucked off with things and maybe not giving the 110% they are now.

Balancing the characters in the squad is as important as balancing the skills to some managers, and tbh our squad are performing at their best ever... why risk upsetting that balance midway through the season.

You could say the same about our CB position then, would it not be "rocking the boat" for Kompany, Stones, Otamendi and Tosin if we purchase another CB?

If you stand still you'll never strengthen, when quality like this comes around at a bargain price you buy it, January is the perfect time in my opinion because if we wait until the summer we won't be the only team sniffing around. We'll soon find out if it's a good or bad decision.

Any chance of it happening in January do you think?

Like I said it's perfect timing

Some are looking at it as £30m wasted as we can get him on a free in the summer but I'm seeing it as £30m saved as we were willing to pay £60m in the summer, you'd be hard pushed to find a player of his quality for £30m in today's market with no competition, so let's do the deal and move on.......

Sane is best played out wide where he can use his lightning pace to go past defenders. He is really an out-and-out winger. Sanchez likes to drift inside, which makes him ideal for when Mendy is in the team. The two are near polar opposites and they'd both get plenty of game time. It will come down to the opposition. But I see Sanchez rotating not only with Sane, but also with Sergio, Jesus, Sterling and Bernardo. No one particular player is under threat. If they want to play then they have to perform and the same would apply for Sanchez.

Well tosin has no premier league experiance and kompany is always injured.

I wouldnt say no to sanchez but when it is already clear sergio isnt exactly thrilled with being on the bench every two or three games it will be fascinating to see how pep juggles the squad. We could potentially have a bench of gundogan, bernardo, jesus and sane. Cant think of a side in world football who has ever had that type of deph maybe aside from the current psg side although they will sell a few this window.

Having said i still dont see sanchez coming this window. I reckon arsenal would rather keeep him and try and get top 4.

Exactly, Sanchez can play anywhere along the front line hence the reason Pep wants him

I didn't want Sanchez because I wanted Sane & Sterling to develop, which they have, but imo, all the attackers are suffering from the incredible amount of physical & mental effort they have put into this run. In actual fact, wheras he might have been a spare part for most of the season, we could have done with Sanchez this week, when all are a little bit jaded.

A new spark is not essential, but it could be pretty fucking good.

It may cause a bit of resentment from Sergio in particular, if he has to miss out more, but with a Premier League title dangling like a ripe peach, plus a possible crack at the Champions League, & two cups, would you really want to sulk & risk missing out on it all, or would you rather fight for your place & do your whinging in May, once it's all in the bag ?

Imo, the player most worried should be Bernardo Silva, anyhow. He is very much a 'stand in' for Sane, Sterling etc right now wheras Sanchez would be a genuine alternative, not a 'stand in'. Sanchez could eclipse him completely if he hit the top form immediately.

Also, if you were looking for a player to adapt, drop back & do the kind of new baldy toughnut playmaker job David Silva now does, Sanchez is a much tougher unit, than Bernardo & has been trained already by Pep, so imo there could be another string to this bow IF it happens.

No lose either way now for me. We are great with or without him.

I do think we need him due to Sergio or Jesus not really ripping it up at the moment, sterling being top scorer shows this.so his versatility is much needed in these last few months of the season
