It’s a weird state of mind to feel that you have to attempt to be contrary with practically every post you make.

At this stage, it's also down to how much the player wishes to reduce his financial package, as there is a massive difference to his signing on fee, as opposed to everyone sitting tight until July.

Absolutely mate, it’s a no brainer which is why I reckon it’ll be circa £30mil - as you said the other day it’s £30mil saved rather than £30mil spent as we haven’t needed him over the first half of the season.

I just want the deal done ASAP in Jan.

It's true though, isn't it? You've got nothing to suggest he'll demand a much larger wage or signing on fee if he's a free transfer, it's just a thing on FM so you're assuming it's true in real life.

I imagine the financial package won't change much from what he agreed to and signed last Summer. He's the one desperate to come to us, after all.

Sorry but he's played in the Europa Cup so by UEFA rules he is cup tied in the Champions League.
He could give Sergio and Jesus a rest before and after CL games mind.

Has something been in place beween player and club since the collapse on deadline day. I'd be surprised if Pep was to leave Sanchez high and dry, knowing that he had his heart set on the move. If we get him for ten or less that would be a marvellous deal considering our current position.

That's not right, he's not cup tied.

"Players may have played in qualifying for the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League, but only one of them can have played in the UEFA Europa League group stage. Players cannot represent two clubs in the UEFA Champions League from the group stage onwards."

We're allowed to register 1 player who's played in this season's Europa League.
