Anyone who doesn't want Sanchez in January falls into at least two of the following list. So, if you don't want Sanchez in January, how much of a lunatic are you? Score yourself out of 10.

1. Is a Rag.
2. Would vote for Trump.
3. Wears short sleeved shirts.
4. Didn't go to York away.
5. Voted for Brexit.
6. Is looking forward to the Royal Wedding.
7. Thinks Beckham was a great football player.
8. Voted Remain.
9. Thinks global warming is important.
10. Genuinely believes Dave Silva is the greatest ever City player........ever!
Hahaha you just made my day .

Probably not given that last Summer we were close to Mbappe, and players of the calibre of Hazard, Kane etc could become available to us.

In 2011, we tried to buy Sanchez from Udinese but he went to Barca. There was no doubt over his talent then, or little. Now because of his age there is more. It's reasonable to disagree but I think my point is reasonable too, particularly as his game has declined as seen in goals/assists.
Marvin, your clearly not thick but you’d like everyone to think you are.
I’ve seen it explained to you so many times it’s becoming annoying.
The obvious decline in his stats is obvious to all as to the reason why.
He doesn’t want to be there, is running down his contract, he isn’t playing for a new one, he feels let down by them, he’s avoiding injury etc etc etc.
Do us a favour and try a different angle coz ur old stats one, makes your points look like your a bit thick and I don’t believe you are.

Yes, I understand. Lol All I was saying is the club wouldn't block anyone from purchasing any name & number combination they desired...

However, whatever Alexis' number is, just hold back on the tattoo for now mate.. :-)
I hear some clubs do block shirt printing of certain names and numbers. Alexis 9 is probably not one of them, but I would imagine ZLATAN might not get put on a City shirt by the club store!

An injured Ross Barkley that hasn’t played this season and was average last one and has 6 months on his contract has just been sold to Chelsea for £15m. Ridiculous really.

We should pay £30m for Sanchez tomorrow then. Get it done. Pay the fee. He is everything we need and then some.

Hi all,

I'm a gooner and I am fortunate to be in touch with one of our main 'ITK's on twitter, who is usually very accurate. He has told me the following : Man City are yet to contact us regarding Alexis this January. In the past few months Alexis has shown a lack of commitment/motivation due to Chile not qualifying and poor attitude/fighting with staff + no sign of him extending. As a result of this Arsenal have made the decision to sell him this January if they receive any offers. So if a reasonable bid comes in from City it will be accepted. Though I believe PSG are also in the running.

I remember a couple years ago when Barkley was deemed a 50 million dollar player :)

The fickleness of Transfer market pricing.

Thanks for the info

Much the same. I'm also of the opinion that Aguero will need to be replaced soon. Silva doesn't need to be really quick to do his damage. The difference between Aguero and Sanchez is that Aguero will leave naturally in due course at the right time, whereas if we signed Sanchez it's risky because of his age.
I'd hazard a guess that Sanchez is faster than both, so where does that leave your 'lost a yard of pace'? Also wtf does 'lost a yard of pace mean'?

Why is signing the universally recognised world class Alexis Sanchez seen as a risk? Do you really believe City have lost the plot & are only chasing Sanchez to keep Pep company?

Can you seriously see no link between Alexis's downturn in form, & his contract situation?

If Sanchez was as bad a player as you think, why do you think Arsenal agreed to take £40m for younger contract rebel Ox, but refused to take £60m, for a faded superstar, who has declined beyond all usefulness & who was also a contract rebel, unless they signed his £95m replacement?

Can't you see why your stance has provoked derision & ridicule?

Again, what if your name was Zlatan?

I could place a substantial bet with you if you like & test it? I'll even record the whole event as proof, & post the receipt too.

Shall we say £1000.00 Sterling? :-)

Will be interesting to see if the Gooners name him for the cup tie at Forest. If they do his fee could drop as cup tied, and if they don’t might it suggest he’s leaving.

I like the way everyone is saying he is finished because of his form, this is a player who had the chance to sign for Pep at Manchester City. A theam that has twice won the league in the last decade and reached the semifinals of the champions league only to be knocked out by the eventual champions. Not only did he have the chance, he signed the contract only to have it ripped up and thrown in the bin By Arsène. He then has to watch the team he should be playing for break all kinds of records whilst playing in a bang average team yet still making them better than they would be without him. He contributed 49 goals last season in 51 appearances, it’s simple for me Form is temporary, class is permanent.

If arsenals top 4 place is an issue together with City not offering what Wenger wants for me there is a simple solution. Arsenal accept a fee offered by City but for transfer at the end of June but with an immediate loan agreement. That way arsenal get the only fee City are prepared to pay for him to spend on a player in January, they strengthen us against all their rivals without weakening themselves for their game against us. Simples.
