Tbf we were 1/4 a couple of days ago and look how quickly it’s changed. Bookies go off how much people are putting on the bet. Keep the faith..

Although I'm not convinced Sanchez is an ideal signing in terms of his age and potential disruption he could cause to our squad, I do believe that if we had promised Sanchez a move last summer for £60m then we shouldn't really get too hung up on paying £30+m for him now.

This "we can get him for nothing in summer" is all hypothetical and is simply not what we are faced with now.

We need to realise that if he signs, he will in a blink of an eye become a £65-70m asset, and if indeed he doesn't fit in then there will be plenty of takers.

If Sanchez was that much of a 'guarantee' Arsenal wouldn't be sitting in sixth playing Europa League football. He's a good player and we should sign him but he guarantees fuck all.

He carried that side last season. He assisted and scored a shed load.

We aren't paying exactly what Arsenal want, but if it does come down to Sanchez leaving Arsenal in Jan no matter what and Sanchez has made it clear he will join City if we match what Utd's offer or risk letting him join Utd, I would rather just pay the money have another world class player on our hands instead of letting a rival club close the gap.
