Would piss if pep let's the cat out of the the bag in his pre match that Sanchez is rag bound and spoils there welcome to Trafford poster party

KDB is a 26 year old signing a contract that will keep him here until he's 33, so the signing on fee makes perfect sense.
Yeah but paying 10 million extra just to make sure our closest rivals miss out on one of the best players in the league who we’re also balls deep for makes just as much sense to me.

Griezmann for €100m - his release clause - would be an interesting one. He can play across the front 3, like Sanchez, and has the same very high work rate and creativity mixed in, but 3 years younger.
We have had a long standing interest in griezmann and I think he will be the target if we don't get Alexis. Shame about the blacking up...

Suggest you take another look at the video of when he played for arsenal at the Etihad a few months back. A loss maybe, a massive one no.

Fucking shambles this. A player who apparently had agreed to come to us in summer, now we let our hated and still dangerous rivals get a major coup on us, not to mention the suddenly now positive spin on it in the media to big those cünts up. And he'll definitely improve their team while we're fucking about trying to play Bernardo as a striker. I'm fucking fuming. We never seem to really press home advantages when we're on top, just like with RvP we let those wankers back in. Absolutely fucking shit from us this. Smalltime and unambitious, and arrogant and complacent.

If you are a tornado pilot, God help us.

No, if they accepted our bid, they would then accept Utd matching it & allow them to talk to Sanchez as well, & offer him twice the wages. Then it's upto him.

It's still upto him now. He can tell Utd to fuck off & sign for City. If he doesn't, it's because he wants more money.
We foolishly told everyone we would not pay the Arsenal asking price, and we would not get involved in a bidding war, it's like saying I won't be getting involved in a poker game. Sanchez didn't want to stay at Arsenal and we were playing hardball. You can't blame his agent for looking for other clubs after we declined to pay.

under no circumstances should we be offering to make him our highest wage earner when he wouldn't be anywhere near the best player in the squad, especially over the term of his contract

Maybe we can't afford to pay the extra?

We're working within FFP and spent a shit load in the summer.

An extra £10-15 million (when you maybe want a centre back as well) is a lot when you're trying to balance the books.

So we try and get the fee down and then the agent wants extra and so does the player which adds to that.

It's not always as simple as 'just pay more!!!'.

Again we are led to believe FFP is no longer an issue....

Who's going to be the first poster to be banned?

MOD's, get the the Sanchez ban hammer ready.
Hopefully no one....however,if people continue to overreact and/or behave like smacked arses, then i cant guarantee that sanctions won't be issued.

So,to those that such applies, get a grip please.

Cheers

Not really sure why people are acting like £35m plus £10m signing on fee would be some kind of unmissable bargain? That would still be probably he third most expensive 29 year old in history? He's not Zidane, put it that way. It's a shit load of money for a guy his age, who I still don't understand where people thought he would play in our best team

Not it doesn't it's a childish view just like half of the posts on here are, bunch of babies

Not if we'd already offered as much as we wanted to. Don't give a fuck who that lot sign to be honest, it's just opportunistic marketing with no overall plan, that's why they're playing ageing wingers at fullback and Mata on the wing.

Bigger target now as he is our only target. Summer we had to strengthen different areas so Sanchez wasn't our number one target, he currently is now. I get what people are saying I just think it's daft. Could negotiate wage similar to everyone else and give a healthy signing on fee to cover the difference. We are streets ahead of them but allowing our top target to go to them would shorter that gap slightly would it not?

I think you're getting too hung up on the idea he's seen as the being the be and all when it comes to transfer targets. He obviously isn't otherwise we'd have paid over whatever was required by now. We're after him now, because of his contract situation, but if it doesn't happen, it's entirely possible the club have an equally as appealing plan b to pursue in the summer. It's not as if anything desperately needs changing at the moment. I understand people would like a bit of extra cover but it's hardly a desperate situation between now and then end of the season.

He isn't our only target at the moment anyway. We're looking at CBs and CMs.

As for concerns about united strengthening, if they don't get Sanchez they'll just go for another mega signing in the summer anyway so it makes no odds to us.

Your supposed to be a professional and come out with shit like that

I don’t think City have said anything about this - you’re getting mixed up with what the media have said
