Alexis Sanchez

Anyone think that there is even one person pointing out to Wenger that this will probably secure United in top 4 this season. We’re already there and with Chelsea certain to finish above Arsenal, they will be ‘fighting’ with Liverpool & Spurs for 4th place. Something which already looks difficult, but without Sanchez is probably close to impossible.

Arsenal ... giving up on CL qualification before the end of January.

This site for example, suggests Ibrahimovic 220 Pogba 290, De Gea 200, and Lukaku 200.. and now Alexis 270.
Whereas ours is Sergio 230 Yaya 230, Silva 210k, and assume this year KDB joins that +200k bracket.

Yaya and Big nose may have taken cuts since - not too sure - and both won't be here in the summer. But this might go some way towards explaining why their wage bill is higher.

Now this is a comparison! Might show the reason why they need players to commit over the next 2 years, a lot of changes to their squad!

Out of contract in the summer:
City: Fernandinho and Toure
United: Fellaini, Young, Shaw, Carrick and Ibra

Out of contract summer 2019:
City: Mangala and Kompany
United: Valencia, Mata, Darmian, De Gea, Rojo, Herrera, Smalling, Jones, Martial.

I think we all realised at least a couple of days ago that Sanchez may have the technical skills to excel in this City team with this City manager, but thank heavens that our manager and others at the club realised before it was too late that he doesn't have the commitment to the team the club or anyone but himself that is require by a title-winning team and club - unlike Leroy, Raheem, Sergio, Gabriel and everyone else in our team and squad. And we didn't want his moaning and tantrums everytime he was subbed or rested. A narrow escape.

Disappointing but people have to realise that we can't win them all and sign everybody.
Fact is the guy is a good talent and will be a good signing for them, however he is 29 and how many seasons can he do, maybe 3-4 max at his peak?
This is a huge risk on the rags part and for all our piss take they will always be trying to get back at us - but we still have the stronger squad and better manager.
I trust Pep and were still top of the league and in all competitions.

Read past the headline mate - It's net of tax

Wages will be around 490k/week gross

Had troubles in opening article.Yes I stand corrected so around £500k per week then as opposed to £300k by us??
We all know why he and his agent did a glorious u turn
