Wow £500k per week. Great player but not that much. I wonder what Pogba and co will think about this. Cant wait to see the outcome of their contract reviews.

Very short term business this which will lead to long term disaster. How much as Pogba, Lukaku and sanzhez cost them?

Utd have well and truly had their pants pulled down.

Well done city for walking away from this deal.

Plus what Ibrahimovic is costing to do nothing.

I thought the need to spend enormous amounts of money was to either...

A- pull away from the chasing pack and keep a safe distance from everyone..

Or

B- bridge the gap to the team in first place and overtake them in the process.

Utd have done neither!!

Why would anybody want those bastards to get Ronaldo? He's still one of the best players in the world and would bring them millions in commercial revenue. Bad enough them getting Sanchez!
Seriously if you think buying Ronaldo is wise then there's no hope!
We are better than that, we dont need a prima dona prancing around bleeding the club of money

It's about time we dined at this top table especially as we are actually light up front and a Kun or another Jesus injury away from having to play without a striker for some games. If the scum can spend these sums surely we can?

Not for me.
Short term thinking will get you nowhere.
I’ll doubt they’ll get him, but I couldn’t give a single fuck if they do.

If the stories of figures are true well done to Sanchez's agent unless by chance Avram was having his hair done at the same place as Alexis and confided to her in a moment of weakness that he is cheating on his misses with Woopy Goldberg.

He might in the end by stealth result in Jose leaving a year before Avram has to pay out his contract.

Actually I don't think united have played this badly, yes they are paying totally over the top for Sanchez but it makes a statement that they are able to pay more than anyone else even for a player so highly converted by one of their main rivals, who up until this transfer window was seen to be able to go toe to toe with them.

As for what does that do to Pogba and co it sends the message that untied are the ONLY team in England that can pay "the market rate" To me it seems they have created as many problems for us, simply by paying this much as themselves.

People seem to want to see salary and transfer fees in isolation, but that just isn't the case. If you want a graphic example look at the way the British record fee exploded in the 1979 the year started with Kevin Keegan's fee of £500,000 to Hamburg being a British Record and ended the year with Wolves(of all people!)paying Aston Villa £1,469,000 (largely on the money we had given them for Steve Daley! but that's another story!)for Andy Grey.

I think we'll look back on this as a disaster for all concerned. If Sanchez just sees out his contract and pockets his signing on fee, plus a decent salary from us, he gets a huge deal with much more privacy. He's in for a shit load of grief now with huge expectations at a time when his performances are gradually going to decline.

For the rags, Raiola has had the inside steer and is going to hold them to ransom with Pogba and Lukaku now. It''s a clusterfuck.

It needs to be posted and made public once again.

Pass it on to every rag you know!

And to United, if you know anyone at the club. :-)

Anyone got the photo of the rags 'we play for trophies not money' or something like that as that should be plastered everywhere!!
You cannot blame Sanchez United are fucking mental...
500 grand a week for when he is 34

Wenger on the Sanchez deal.

"I wouldn’t like to come out on the numbers, that’s a United problem. I respect United because they generate the money they pay by their own resources.

"United is a club very well managed financially and of course on the pitch so that’s why I don’t have any problem with the money they pay."

I agree, and they have set a dangerously high precedent now. They will be paying Sanchez this till he his 34 years old!

But the rags are merely investing in the squad. We on the other are buying success.

Haha, deluded rag fools, carry on...
I'm happy we are investing in the future, we don't need to buy mercenaries nowadays.

When Txiki pulled out of the Sanchez deal, I pulled out of this thread.
With the figures being bandied about, thought I'd look back in. Some good gifs etc.
But the upshot is, he's a great player, and if they can afford it, fair play.
Remember, never mind that lot, we have our own agenda, and first up is winning that league cup.

Ah, dear old Arsene - I shall miss him when he goes, still obsessed with our 2010 accounts. He probably thinks Carillion is a well managed company too.
