Certainly time for him to go, but played his part in our recent success so best of luck to him.

Lazy sod all too often, but far, far better than most of our left backs over the years.

On the pitch I often found him infuriating but I've always loved watching him interact with others behind the scenes with his dry sense of humour and flirting with Sharon. At the risk of getting slated for saying it, there's something proper Manc about him.

I probably would have laid into him a few times on here but he will be missed.

Did anyone catch what he was saying to Kelechi in the new kit photo shoot video? I think he was telling Kelehi that he's the boss or something.

The time is right for him to move on, best of luck to him and thanks for the humour off the pitch.

Great going forwards but somewhat reluctant in defence.
Thanks for the happy memories and good luck.

Anyone saying he was great going forward is just making up information, been a part of our success and for that I thank him and wish him the best but he was average at best going forward and was very wasteful and was poor defensivly

Stayed a season too long for me, but I still appreciate what he's done for us. His workrate has been questionable at times, but I will always remember him staring down Costa and making him back down when he got lairy. One of the most passionate players I've ever seen on a football pitch but that passion was too often directed towards himself and not the whole team. I've erased the Southampton game from my mind so my last memory of Aleks as a City player is his goal vs Bournemouth which is fine by me.

Quality player.

Did a lot more good for us than he did bad. Not a fantastic final season but instrumental in title wins.

Bagged our first ever Champions League goal too.

Decent servant, funny guy hope he does brilliantly in Turkey and gets another tournament with Serbia.

Piss poor player, never been a fan, was at St Marys for his complete no show game this season and that isn't the only one he couldn't be bothered to show up in. Those who say he is good going forward?! When was that?! All the best to him but he wont be missed at City.

When will this be made official?
doesn't sound like a fee has been agreed yet, at least according to media reports. They want us to let him go for free.

Didn't see him in the arrival pictures today, but assume he was given extra time off since Serbia had a free end of season friendlies.

This. He is one of those kinds of players who sometimes does miraculous things, but by and large on the basics makes his team worse.

Scores miraculous goals from ridiculous angles, 1 out of every 15 attempts. That's 14 shits that should never have been taken. Poor at recycling play, and lacked variety on his crosses. Funny enough I think he was actually better defensively when he cared. Didn't have the smoothest hip movement, but tackled hard and flew in like a don't give a shit defender, and was actually pretty solid in the air.

He wasn't great but was hard nosed. It's his possesion contributions that was most lacking. Hit crosses were dangerous but of the single hard grounder variety. When he went high he often overshot the whole box.

Thought he was a poor purchase at the time, and labored hard to like his character, thought his footballing lacked a level of intelligence required at the highest level.

He'd be a Cult hero fullback had he played at Watford or Fulham. But at the very top he lacked what it took to be efficient, and an overall positive for a top end club.

Soriano's words make me worried we might not be signing a left-back. Maybe Pep is relying on Clichy and possibly Peres covering as an inverted full-back? From what i understand, Pep used this at times with Bayern? If the "3,4,5" signings he said is taken literally. That would probably mean Sane, Stones and Peres, added to Gundo and Nolito.

A poor, thick footballer whose sole tactic was 'twat it as hard as possible' (even when there was a defender prostrate in front of him).

Good riddance, if you need a lift, let me know.

Astonishing that he has been here since 2010 and spent most of his career here. Dumbfounded as to how it was allowed to happen.

if you've got the opportunity to have a shit you should take it.
