'Alfie's army' Alder hey protest

I hope after all the false dawns his parents have been given over the past few months they can find peace. I Connot begin to understand what they have gone through. RIP and may the family find closure.

I understand the parents point of view.
However , this poor lad was not going to get better. The doctors at Alder Hey know what they are doing. This situation has happened before and tragically it will happen again.
The NHS cannot continually fund treatment for the terminally ill.
By letting him go , they have done the right thing.
Harsh ??
On 1st February 2018 my girlfriend, Samantha ,died in Fairfield Hospital.
She had been in intensive care on a ventilator for 2 weeks.
I stood and watched as the doctor turned off her life support.
Nothing more could be done for her.
In my opinion they did the right thing.
It took 8 hours for her to die in my arms.
She was 48.
That's all I have to say on the matter.

A great and tragic post in equal measures. My heart goes out to you.
