He won't be executive on the board (he will be a Non-exec Director) nor do the board make the football decisions - there are no "football people" on City's CFG board. Its a parent investment company. But that board will dictate the high level strategic direction of the Group and critically, approve budgets that accommodate the football decisions.

Strategic direction, US/global opportunities, further funding, management development, global credibility etc - the investment was at near $5bn value. They want to quadruple the money at least

The other investments I think are things like Endeavor which is a talent agency Oakview who are building the arena and skype and other technology stuff fast forward and the clubs in the group will be supper connected, the players will have the same agents be promoting some of the groups investors products the different clubs could have Oakview arenas next to the stadiums. Our owner is also among a group of investors who are investing in sports technology start ups will be apps, streaming sites, sports medical stuff etc

Absolutely right I looked at Silverlake’s portfolio and the synergy between lots of their investment and the CFG was staggering, as you say above, others were ticketing and financial transactions They must also be eyeing the collar site, my bet some type of VT Virtual Technology (VR AR MR ) theme park the possibilities are endless and now we have Sapphire Sport It’s clear that very few people, still don’t, get what’s happening before their very eyes, a global football technology giant so powerful that they won’t dare cross it Scarey
