All things Jack Grealish

Who has he been caught by mate? Pep wasn't arsed when asked, in fact he praised him.

Also Everton pay 80% of his wages and still want to sign him despite his injury!

Everton and City both made a point of letting him on the pitch before KO on Monday night, to talk to the City squad (whilst being filmed on Sky). He then went and sat with the Everton staff behind their dug out. That is both clubs making a statement and letting the Media know it's been dealt with. Make no mistake he will have been absolutely roasted by Moyes, not before him and Pep decided who was good/bad cop! Either way its dealt with in house, and only the 3 of them will know what was said. Fergie used to do the same! Bollock his players in private, then praise them in public!

Also, how the fuck did Laporte fuck everything up at City, he won 13 trophies (including 5 leagues in 6 season)? Only 8 clubs in history have won more league titles than Laporte did in 6 season, 1 cub in history have won the same number as Trebles as him and not one club has won 4 in row like him! (he has won more leagues, than Newcastle, Leeds, Spurs and Forest have managed ever) Why say he fucked everything up at City? On average he won a trophy every 13 games he played!
I didn’t say Laporte fucked anything up. Laporte last week stated how well City look after players. I was obviously referring to Grealish when I posted that ‘he has still managed to fuck everything up and has again at EVERTON’.

Bizarre that you seem to reply to every post on here that says Grealish is an embarrassment.

Let’s see how much Everton want him in the Summer. This season has cost City the best part of £20m in amortisation and wage subsidy - for him to prove to the country he is a terrible professional. It will be the same again next season as nobody will pay a tfr fee for him.

I wonder - would he have taken to the bottle as much as reported had Pep played him in a more midfield role giving him more game time and less time for "remorse". I never thought of him as a winger and to my way of thinking was wasted out there.

As other posters have said he has displayed an amazing caring personality away from the game - and booze.
Not sure anyone has reported him as having "taken to the bottle". Yes he has on a number of occasions been spotted seemingly drunk, almost without exception during either closed season, or during a period of injury. But you make it sound as if he's George Best or Paul Gascoigne.

A peculiar take on the situation!

It's a bit of an open secret that the reason the club were desperate for him to be gone last summer was the levels of unprofessionalism he had shown in the previous 12 months. This included turning up in terrible states to training, being a terrible example for the younger players around the CFA. Just generally being a bit of a dickhead, albeit a lovable one. Ultimately City is a place of work, not a country club where you go to have a good time.
The phrase 'open secret ' is often used by people who really don't have any facts whatsoever themselves, but are happy to go off hearsay and petty rumours. If you're ok to make slanderous comments about Jack, maybe you could provide the supporting evidence?

Some people on this thread epitomise the modern consumer of online information (read is 'bullshit'). Why let facts or reality get in the way of a good story hey. Virtually every comment making accusations of Jack has been done without any proof whatsoever. I'm sure they'll use the old "there's no smoke without fire" get-out clause. Who needs enemies when you've got your own city fans.

Note the words I used "taken to the bottle as much as reported". I am not accusing him, or comparing him to those two, just emphasising that the media have highlighted his drinking episodes - maybe over exaggerated!!!!!

So it's Pep's fault now? Doesn't his heat maps for Villa and City pretty much match given their differing styles?

Are you ignoring the pictures of him pissed up, passed out or staggering away from a crashed car?

Please explain how he has 'fucked everything up (again) at Everton' because he has broken his foot while being their player of the season? Also explain how Everton paying 80% of his £330k/wk wages has cost more than what he was on in the first place? (he was on £15m/year at City BTW)!

Pep played him in 50 out of 61 games when we won the treble, the lad is a legend! Yet you think he is a terrible professional! (he won 7 trophies in 4 years)!

It's bizarre that you feel the need to slag the lad off! He gets enough shit of other fans and the media! The lad is a blue!
Nobody would or has questioned that. Everyone knows what Jack does and the type of person he is where charity and being a good human being is concerned. That doesn’t mean he can’t also be a dickhead whilst at work. If he is turning up in a state, not being a good example to the youngsters and what not, that is being a dickhead at work.

I’ll stick up for the kid more than anyone, but where work comes, and that’s what it is - work - there has to be utter professionalism.
When has he ever turned up for work in a state mate?

He was in 20 Stories, that's not in work!

There is no way the club would allow that!

So you honestly think that Pep let him turn up pissed for training for 12 months, and effect the youth players and not say a word?

Then convince him to act sober for his Everton Medical and whenever their was an international break?

From what I can gather, billyshears has his ear to the ground where City is concerned, so I’d be inclined to believe what he’s saying.

He's always played wide left. He did before at Villa and now at Everton. Pep isn't the problem here.

How on earth can you seriously say that he has pissed his chances away. In 4 years He won more English league titles than George Best, Stephen Gerrard, Harry Kane & Gazza combined! He won 7 trophies in 4 seasons. I'd be surprised if there was a current PL player (who hasn't played for City) who can match that. yet you think he has wasted his chances!

How is he clearly an alcoholic? Seriously mate do you know when he last had a drink before them pictures? because I don't? How often does he drink at home? What if he was spiked? Pep did have a view on it! You have no evidence that he is an alcoholic so stop being dramatic.

I find it amazing how, you know all about his lifestyle, his drinking habits and what is best for him and family, without ever meeting him!

The guy was unplayable when we won the treble FFS he played 50 out of 61 games. Yet you call him an alcoholic was of talent!
Just interested to know mate, your obviously a big fan of Jack's , what in your opinion is the reason he was loaned out ?
When we signed him I honestly thought he would join our elite list of players like Vincent David Kevin Sergio.
I could never imagine any of those being loaned out.
His England career looks also dead and buried.
In your honest opinion where did it all go wrong for Jack ?

Brilliant footballer ,won loads of honours ,I don't get this have a go at him cos he likes a drink
So what. During his time at City ,I don't think I remember one oppenent taking the ball off him, such was his ball control ,balance and touch..that's Football. That's a footballer player.

Who cares if he likes a drink?

Ome of my best footy mates is Notts County and England, for decades ,home and away
I remember asking him few years back now ,who is the best player he ever saw play the game....his answer.Jack Grealish.

Football used to be about entertainment. The game. Players with high levels of skill are being replaced by runners, and brutal enforcers, ironically Everton have plenty of those ....

I'll say all day long,it's the midfield geniuses that keep the game ticking over ......what keeps a partc player ticking over is another matter,...now let's discuss Maradona! ; )

Got a lot of time for Grealish. Makes dribbling with the ball at full speed look simple.
It isn't.
And it winds defenders up, who smash into his body time and again, pretty much like Doku is getting now. When you get battered every match due to the skills you perform, what's wrong with a drink after ? Ffs.

I wasn't referring to him having a drink or two. None of us really know if that is the problem.
I think if it hadn't gone wrong for Jack (as you seem to think it hasn't) he would still be in our team and still playing for England.
So imo it's gone wrong.
Why did we loan him out ? That's what I would like to understand.

I'm worried about Grealish's antics overall but I don't really see the major issue with this one.

Everton have a meal out in Manchester to mark the end of the season, Grealish, Garner, and Pickford stay out afterwards both look to be relatively sober, get into a cab and go back to the hotel?
