All things Jack Grealish

Not the best player any of us have seen at City, by a fair distance, but IMO he is far and away the most thoroughly decent, caring, empathetic, and just down right wonderful human beings currently playing the game in England.

Does he need to get some kind of help for his drinking before it ruins his career..? I’d say yes. Do We as fans need to get behind him and have his back when the fucking lying, fake, utterly scurrilous British media print hit piece after hit piece on him? Also yes.

It’s very strange that some of us take the media’s portrayal of our Jack as absolute gospel. The same media who have printed lie after lie after innuendo after innuendo about this club for years.

That lad needs love, support, and a sense of belonging.

All the things he is only too ready and willing to give to others. As we have all witnessed many times over these last few years.
If the situation were reversed he would doubtless give it to anyone of us who came into his orbit.
The shit talked about him by City fans, even - infact especially - those who claim to know “insiders at the club” (as if any true insider would spread libellous shit about a City player/employee to some no mark off a forum) is a blight on this forum and this fanbase.
And as always with these things, sadly that does not shock or surprise me in the least. Some people just cannot help themselves putting the boot in.

I like Jack, bit weird to treat him like a former player though tonight, he should be back on the pitch pre-season!

It was great to see Jack as part of the celebrations tonight.

I loved him both as a City player and for the great human being, who has all the time in the world for those less fortunate than him, that he is.

I really hope that he realises that he has to tackle his problems head on himself, and can only receive the help he clearly needs, if he admits that he has such problems.

I hope we see him back in a City shirt next season, tearing up the Premier League.
Beautifully put. You have said all i would like to say but couldn't find the words.

I wish Jack well. He's embroidered himself into the tapestry of our success.
I truly hope he manages to battle his demons.

The club have a duty of care for every employee so i would be very surprised if they made a public statement regarding a players private life without reason. If a player has health issues or football related injuries the manager or club would brief the press ( when the question is asked). As for that garbage video from the ●un have they not got anything better to do than follow a footballer (who is renowned for his charitable work) when he is outside working hours. They never learn.

A fair number of our fanbase, past legends will have had a difficult relationship with booze and if Jack does have such a problem id love us, the club to help him turn it round as part of the next chapter under a new manager.

Villa even demonstrated a new line of thought that maybe 4 days on the piss is the remedy to a few woeful second halfs under Pep.

Either way hes so likeable and kind hes worth the time, effort.
