Now, I'm not a dedicated member of the 'Hughes out brigade', in fact I actually think he's a good manager, but for me, we're not the right team for him.

I've heard both sides of the argument, the ones who say he's shit and want him gone, and the ones who want to keep him. I'm in the middle. He is a very good manager, but not for a team aiming to be one of the best in the world, he'd do a fantastic job at teams like Bolton, Portsmouth or Hull. He's a survival manager.

Its simple, if you want to be one of the best, you have to have one of the best in charge, and even though I do like Hughes, he is'nt quite at that level, and on the other hand he is'nt the type of manager we need.

Remember, I'm not saying he's a bad manager, I'm saying he's not the right manager for us.

So in my view, we should try to bring in someone else in January, here are some I think we should go for:

1) Jose Mourinho (It will never happen for obvious reasons, but its worth a try)
2) Guus Hiddink (Lets face it, he's brill, lets see if we can tempt him away from Russia)
3) Frank Rijkaard (Did a good job at Barca and doing really well at Galatasaray)
4) Roberto Mancini (Did a grood job at Inter, won some trophys and is now out of work)
5) Juande Ramos (he's pretty good)
6) Marcello Lippi (Done well with some hughe clubs)
7) Phil Scolari (Done good jobs wherever he's been)
8) Luciano Spalletti (Won trophys with Roma and done good jobs at a few other teams)

We need to stick by Hughes. What's the point in changing our manager every 1 or 2 seasons. We draw a few games and suddenly everyone think's we need to ditch Hughes. We've lost one game so far this season which is two less than those Stretford Tramps. We aren't going to win every single game and we won't be in form all the time. Stop panicing.

I'm neither in or out but he is just starting to build a team with (no disrespect to the players) misfits and outcasts from other squads. For the sake of the "project" give the guy a fucking chance.

I agree with both of you, he should be given time, wich by todays managerial standards he has been given plenty of, but I still think that he is'nt the righ manager for what we're trying to do.

The jurys still out for me.

His signings have been good in the likes of BARRY, ROBINHO, BELLAMY, ADEBAYOR, BELLAMY AND ESPECIALLY GIVEN.

We are still weak at the back and the likes of Bridge should be dropped and Sylvinho given his chance.

Right back is still an issue and maybe NADEM should be put back in.

Lets sell RICHARDS in the window so he doesnt have to think about playing him as he has been poor for nearly 2 years now.

Never coming wants the scum job

Not likely and even less if they qualify for wc
3) Frank Rijkaard (Did a good job at Barca and doing really well at Galatasaray)
Guardiola had to get rid of a few cliques in the dressing room and said that they were no where near fit enough so don't know how he'd cope in england (plus hate him after spitting on the german player in world cup one year)
4) Roberto Mancini (Did a grood job at Inter, won some trophys and is now out of work)
Then why is he still out of work plushasn't managed outside of italy.
5) Juande Ramos (he's pretty good)
Was crap at spurs and madrid plus cant speak the language
6) Marcello Lippi (Done well with some hughe clubs)
Never managed abroad
7) Phil Scolari (Done good jobs wherever he's been)
Look what happened at chelsea with a team full of players that wanted him there
8) Luciano Spalletti (Won trophys with Roma and done good jobs at a few other teams)
Don't know enough to comment but has he managed outside italy?

Hughes has bought good players and they haven't become poor they just need time to settle and it will all come.

Somebody was posting tha we were lucky to not lose a couple of the drawn games but you could argue we were unlucky not to have won a couple Micahs goal against Fulham and Tevezs' chance and Ades chance against burnley. Wigan was not bad after the sending off and it was a good point at Villa only the birmingham game was where we really let our selves down and was locky with a point.

I still feel we need to be patient , form is temporary and class is permenant.

I heard hiddink's contract ends after the world cup and he said he wants to manage in england after his stint at chelsea, so it is possible.

Completely agree with you - a bit of stability is what's needed
