All Time Top 1100 Albums (Aerosmith - Big Ones) P265

Not my bargain bin picks!

The list presented is the result of over 200,000 votes cast by the public in record shops, universities, schools and the French music trade show MIDEM.

... Early days, 990 albums to go :)
990 albums? Blimey, they need to make euthanasia legal so I can sign up to it; )

Shit music after that anyway.
Well . . . I'm old, but The Strokes, MIA, White Stripes and LCD Soundsystem all put out records I love, just to name a few. And my guilty pleasure is that Vanessa Carlton single with the piano riff. And though I believe Radiohead should be put in a burlap sack weighted down with chains and cement and tossed into the ocean, their fans would also disagree with you :)

Jeesh, only 10 down, seems a lot more. So far this is proving contrary to a certain popular saying in that it's not the journey it's the destination, but don't stop believing now, there's no escape.

Unless the next album is Escape by Journey, with the hit song Don't Stop Believin'...

Lol. Cute. That they and the Grateful Dead are thought of as “quintessential San Francisco bands” is a little stomach-turning.

In 2041 we’ll do the top 1000 ‘2000+‘ albums.
Absolutely! As I said before, the list had to come from somewhere and as I assume there are plenty of crotchety old white men on this thread, this is probably as good as any. Anyhow out of 1000 records there are probably 750 I’ve never heard so 3/4 will be “new” music to me (in fact, the ratio has been higher than that save the “hit” songs thus far).

Would like a record with synths to come soon though :)

Fingers crossed for Violator.
