All time top tier division...who's a "BIG" club?

Just to add re our history. Highest average league position by decade:

70s
30s
1900s
20s
40s / 10s
50s / 2000s
60s
80s
1990s
1890s

Shows to me that the 70s aside we were at our most successful pre World War 2. City were particularly strong force up to start of war. Some of the players had to join the war effort as soldiers.

My next door neighbour near City's ground where I grew up played for City and got a cap for England before going to the war and getting shot in the back ending his career on return. Mr Bridges RIP - great fella never forgotten.

This club of ours has got pure history. It would be great if we can support writing a new era and beat all the records!

Other than the barcodes the same top 9 as now....just a different order. The more things change the more they stay the same.

Stupid table. We were at our most successful when it was two points for a win, whereas United and Liverpool were at theirs when it was three points for a win.

If you are going to do this sort of table, they could bloody normalise it.
 
PMSL who would have guessed... we have the worst away record compared to other top sides.
 
agreed we've played 200 or so more top flight games than chelsea and won 100 more than them

chelsea win 24.92%
MCFC win 26.27%

The most pertinent post on the thread. This notion of club 'history' is always got up by folk who can't remember what they were doing last week.
