Alphonso Davies

The fact based on rumour City prefer Benjamin Pavard rather than Alphonso Davies in case Kyle Walker goes to Bayern is very telling, either Davies himself is not interested to move or our club didn't think he will fit for our system next season.

There is a huge difference in how much either would cost, that’s probably why

We don’t need Davies. We are getting Gvardiol to back Ake up

I think it’s the pace facto? having Walker in the background helped when we faced Real Madrid, so maybe if we lose him then Davies would replace to have that cover?

he only played that game due to Ake's injury arguable. wasnt needed against Sane/Coman & Gnabry. doubt we'll sign someone on the off chance of a CL draw

There’s a ton of speedy wingers, Rashford,Saka,Vinicius,Mbappe,Son,Sterling.

Still a dream signing. We should be monitoring him over the next year as rumor is he's unsettled in Germany. Imagine how effective he'd be in the position Walker has taken up the last few games. On the opposite flank obviously. Bursting down the wing and having the pace to gun it back and man mark with the best of em. I reckon it'd be extremely effective having Davies' skill on the outside, allowing Grealish to move inside and have Davies overlapping.

Can also play any of the forward positions as he has with Canada.
Haaland
Davies/Grealish - Bernardo/Doku
Bernardo/Kov - Foden/KDB
Rodri
Davies/Ake - Gvardiol - Dias - Stones

What a team. And Julian, Palmer, Rico, McAtee, Gomez, and KP still on the bench along with whoever doesn't start. In this case Ake, Kovacic, Doku I guess? Top

The rumour is Davies will see out this season & next, then move to Real for free. Agreed though, he's my dream signing too.

Him & Walker at left & right back would be a sight to behold, & would frighten the shit out of most teams on the planet..

I used to agree, but Bernardo showed his flaws last season.

I’d still have him as his speed shuts down transitions in big games, but like Walker, he’s not needed when we need guile to win, like the CL final last season.
