Has the alternative commentary man given up altogether now? I know @Brightwell Bros. said he had a new job but I hoped there might be one now and again. :-) Selfish moi? No just loved the alternative commentaries. :-)
I don't know him, just had a vague memory of him saying something to that effect.

He started them in the lockdown season, so suspect like a lot of us he had a bit more free time. And the PL got a bit more aggressive with taking down footage so probably became more hassle than they were worth.

Thank you for clarifying @Brightwell Bros. Actually looking back on your original message it does say about the lockdown so I apologise for not reading it properly today. DUH!!!

I saw some *West Ham ones that were almost identical in wit and writing style which lead me to believe it may have just been a quality funny man doing multiple versions to sell merchandise

*or could have just been Cheetham Hill knock off versions

I think they’re different people doing them, using similar AI software.

Our guy seemed like a home and away supporter that just didn’t have the time to do them after life returned to normal.

I guess they didn’t pay enough, which is sad, as they were really funny.

It was something about the writing style, it seemed too close to be an impression to me...Not that it matters a jot, brilliantly funny regardless of his York away credentials ;)

Exactly. If he was a generic football fan, he’d be an amazing comic writer, who’d spent too long learning to be a City fan.

Who knows? It might have been Nish Kumar…

The Bundesliga does a tactical came for some games in the season, live on YouTube and normally will have coaches, scouts and so on commentate. Would be great if the Premier League did something like that to be honest.
