It would be nice to get one more player in with pace that can play on both wings, if we think Diaz isn't ready. Foden is more of an 8 in our system.
We haven't really been linked with any forwards (seriously) have we? Seems as soon as the Sanchez deal was off we switched priority straight to Laporte and Fred. Not a lot of space in the squad either until summer.

The way Howard talked about it does make you wonder. First off, it was clear that both Ahsan and Howard had heard of the rumours, secondly neither of the two were willing to talk about it and thirdly, the words themselves - "but the name's so ridiculous that I couldn't name it anyway...".

Jokes aside, it has to be a big name signing, someone that people would think is unsellable. Like if we were targeting someone like Jesus, it would make complete sense and there's nothing ridiculous about it - incredible talent, cheap, ready to learn, what's not to like? But an established player who would cost a fuck ton and is considered unsellable would definitely generate a reaction like "surely you're not serious, that's just ridiculous". In the positive sense obviously.
Haven't read anything about it, but it's kinda self-evident that they'll try to get Werner at some stage. Heynckes said in November that Bayern 'should have signed TW'. His contract expires in 2020.
