that was a pretty decent point given the pitch and a fired up Sunderland first half.

They had pretty much one effort on goal from which they scored. It was, due to the quality of the cross and the height of Kenwyn Jones, undefendable.

We didn't play particularly well first half due to the fact we were harrassed of the ball. Something that all inferior teams try to do. They then eventually run out of steam, which is what happens.

In the second half we could easily have had a hatful except for a combination of luck, good goalkeeping and poor finishing.

Mancini understands this unlike some on this site. Those of you who want us to play pretty football away from home for 90 minutes are living in cloud cuckoo land.

You get a foothold, deny the opposition easy chances and then let your greater quality tell. Which is what almost happened today.

Agree on the whole, but don't think their goal was undefendable.

Not blaming Kompany or Lescott because Jones is a monster, but Malbranque was allowed to cross far too easily by Zabs and (less so) Richards.

totally agree, Mancini is a trier, he's worth a shot, even Redknapp said afterwards City need to give a manager a proper go, 2 or 3 years, we can't sack another manager, it's the boys wearing the shirt that are letting us down!!
We created numerous direct clear cut chances, but the finishing, by Bellers, SWP and Santa Cruz was shocking!
