The Navi in Alty/Broadheath ain't that bad.

Alty has gone really downhill now.........used to be good late on when the Brasserie used to be open, and then on to The Caspian, one of the finest take away/kebab places EVER.

Now your best bet is to go into Hale.......if you get to 161 before 10pm its free, after that its £10 entrance

Alty is like a wild west town and do yourself a favour and avoid the taxi rank near the bus/tram station as from any time after 9 o clock you will be asked"what the **** are you looking at" or something similar.Hale probably is your best bet if you can put up with the biggest set of false twats buying 4 pints with a credit card,from a blues point of view the navigation,s a good shout,used to be absolutely hammered in there but i think its calmed down a bit in there from what it was,not been in at the weekend myself for a while now,was a very "lively" boozer few years ago and still can be

agree with everything being said about alty, best to avoid. cant believe there are so many people who rate hale. american b&g is an absolutely terrible bar, 'club' 161 is even worse. better heading out to dids imo, always got the option to nip into town then as well.

Makes me laugh over the years lads from out of the areas perception of altrincham as if everyone from there,s got a swimming pool and wears a cravat.There,s 4 or 5 rough estates in alty and been a lot of city lads from 70s onwards particularly from broadheath/navigation area,then you,ve got the town centre which has lads from partington,wyth,shawe,sale and the tram day trippers drinking there usually a recipe for disaster at the weekend.I,ve not got a good word to say about hale as it is just full of trollops pretending to be rich trying to cop off with knobheads pretending to be rich and vice versa and when they find out that neither of them can bankroll each other they move onto the next moet ordering muppet

I used to own a little bar in Alty. Had fantastic customers but really had to be very selective on Thurs Fri and |Saturday because of the arseholes. The first week I set up the bar next to me handed in a gun someone had left in the gents and the Downs pound a fight night created the kind of mahem akin to Chav city after 9pm, and caused problems for every other liscensee in Alty - Hale's your best bet!

Bar Loco on the market place - made it's money from 10.00pm til 4am and f-all during the week - I couldn't keep it up, I had to start a real job in the end!
