Alvaro Negredo - How do you remember him?

Beast!

He could have been as big as Sergio but something changed him and he wasn't the same again.
 
He was a battering ram and effective for a period of time.

Remember him just bullying United ‘s defence in one derby.
 
In the middle of a purple patch, fell over and hurt his shoulder and was rarely seen again. Very odd at the time with rumours abound. He was with his family on the pitch for the title winning celebrations and looked totally miserable, from what I can remember .
 
Awesome striker, some brilliant performances for half a season then injured his shoulder in that 6-0 westham game and was never the same again. Such a bloody shame. I will always remember his first vs WH, long ball from Yaya dropping over his shoulder whilst he ran between the CB's and first time volley. Takes some bloody skill that, proper roy of the rovers stuff.
Remember the rumours and always wondered what happened to make his form drop off a cliff. He never really got it back so maybe the half season was a one off and not really representative of his normal capability. Bloody hell though I would take prime Yaya, Dzeko and Beast just now though although Pep probably wouldnt. They certainly knew where the onion sack was.
 
Those six months were amazing, pretty much everything he tried came off for him.

That assist for Milner v Fulham with the outside of his boot was *chefs kiss*
 
Seeing some discussion in the Dusan Vlahovic thread about who he plays like, Haaland, Ibrahimovic etc. Yet it is Negredo whose game he seemingly most resembles. Big, left foot, can play a bit, can head the ball etc. And weirdly he also seems to have hit a hot streak for six months in Italy
 
Remember a feint he did near the box pretending to go for the ball but was never going to & it fooled ALL of the defence leaving huge gap for City player to score simple goal. TV kept showing it trying to make it look like a fluke - was deffo not.
 
Thought he would be a cult hero , damaging your shoulder is a nightmare , if it is bad there is no getting back to normal quickly , mp didnt want to play him after it but then he made a lot of shit decisions
 
Wasn't expecting much when he joined. He was unplayable in that only season at City. A short-lived cult hero, fantastic player. Still playing in La Liga for Cadiz.
