Always the victim - but not who you think

If you wind someone up for a reaction, don't be surprised if they twat you.

In the 70s or 80s, this guy would have had fuck kicked out of him and would probably have ended up in the hospital.

No sympathy whatever, and I am the peaceable sort. I don't mind a rival fan sitting in a City area and being quiet, but this is a million miles beyond that. This is deliberate provocation.

I’d never heard of the Speed guy until the other day but apparently he’s an 18 year old American kid who makes a living being a bit controversial online and has 16 million subscribers to his channels. His mission was obviously to wind City fans up though, so although I’d like to make allowances for his age, he couldn’t have had any complaints if he’d got a proper slap.

No idea who the other guy was either but it seemed more like a dare. He actually seemed like he’d be quite a good laugh in a different setting. He was there for a reaction though and when he got it seemed to accept it was inevitable and a bit of fun, as opposed to the other guy who strangely seemed a bit shocked by it.

Just watched it, fucking pathetic. It's very American though, I've seen things like that countless times in Philadelphia. I've been a Phillies fan all my life but it's nothing for an opposing fan to just be berated for an entire 3 hour game. Guys sitting right behind you screaming in your ear for three hours is enough to set anybody off. And when I say berating for 3 hours straight I'm not exaggerating, I've seen guys get hoarse from screaming in somebody's ear. It's gotten to the point where I've stood by visiting fans in order to diffuse situations. We don't have away stand so when I've been the visiting fan I've appreciated not being harassed. I will say though that if I was a visiting fan and acted like that prick I'd have deserved to get my ass kicked. At the end of the day it's fucking sports and I'd never judge somebody solely by who they support as much as I wouldn't do it based on their skin color. I would however judge them for being a fucking prick.

As a matter of fact a friend of mine who is one of probably five United supporters who aren't complete dicks about football didn't have a stream to watch the final on Saturday. He's had a very rough life as a Native American who has been put through things none of us could ever dream of. When he asked for a stream online I immediately hooked him up with my username and password (even though I changed the password to ManCity#1 so he'd have to type it in).

This incident aside, I have never understood people paying all that money for a ticket and spend most of the game trying to wind up the opposition fans.
Some dickhead in front of me was up every five minutes giving it out.
I paid £115 for my ticket, to watch this arsehole abusing the rags, I only just saw the first goal but the old couple next to me missed it as the idiot was fucking about.
It detracts from other people enjoyment of the game.
I agree, go to any game up and down the leagues and there's home & away fans who spend 90 mins just looking at the "opposition fans" throwing w*nker signs

It's like fandom tourettes :)

This is right.
The one that stuck out most to me this season was a woman Posh supporter in the play off at yours doing the wanker sign to Wednesday fans when Peterborough scored.
The camera zoomed in and this middle aged looking woman doing it for about 10 seconds whilst not looking at the pitch or game.
It looked terrible

Worse than that Thogden dickhead. Frustrating that City give free tickets to these morons.
