Amazon prime Black Friday deals

What happens with this ?. My Mrs just told me she saw it at £3.99 and orderd it, got confirmation at that price. Will they honour it ?.

They can and will just cancel the orders before they reach the fulfilment and shipping stage. If you were to have it delivered (or choose a pick-up point and collect it) for that price, there is nothing they could do to insist that it is returned though.

Not that we didn't already know.

It's a big con!

Shoppers searching for Black Friday bargains are being warned that most deals do not offer genuine discounts.

Analysis of more than 200 offers last Black Friday found 98% were cheaper or the same price at other times in the year, consumer group Which? said.

If anybody is a vendor on Amazon, there's a tool on vendor central that gives you the history of retailed prices on the site.

Maribelle said: This gift set is beautiful, nice present for Xmas. All products smell lovely. Great price.

Falinne said:I recently bought this and what can I say, it's one of the best perfumes I've ever used. I struggle to find a perfume that lasts all day on me and this stays on all day. Not only does it smell good and last all day, I get many compliments at work! Honestly, this is worth every penny.

Blondie 209 said: Women comment how fresh this fragrance is and men cant get enough.

Luckily Falinne and Blondie are not so inclined, but complementing a woman on her perfume is sexual harassment, so the wokists tell us.

It's an actual scam. If you look at Amazon's prices before Black Friday, they are nearly always the same as they are on Black Friday - they just show RRP. The key to black friday is just remember, if you don't need it then don't bother. Wait for January sales.

The only stuff of in Black Friday consistently is the Amazon products

There was an error with Nintendo Switch bundles earlier this week, on Amazon listing the OLED version plus up to 7 copies of the same game, for around £320. Apparently Amazon honoured some of the orders and those lucky few can now sell off 6 excess unopened copies of the game they received at around £35 each, giving them a brand new OLED console plus one game for £110.

There's rarely a good legitimate deal to be had though unfortunately now, and it's a bit like with eBay when you know they are about to offer a 20% off voucher when prices at participating stores go up 30% overnight.

I did wonder though it this year would see some retailers panic with us now in recession and really slash prices to get money in, but not really seen it so far.
