Amazon Tablet / General Tablets? (Listening to City)

Long story short, my dad’s in hospital after having a stroke about a month ago.

The hospital he’s in can’t get Five Live / Manchester (he’s up in Newcastle).

I’m looking for advice on Amazon Tablets / general tablets - what’s the best to get?

My idea is that I could get him a tablet, connect it to the hospital wifi, and download the City app which he can then use on match day to listen to the games.

If anyone has a better recommendation, please do let me know.

Why not get him one with one with mobile data as well?

Can always watch the games through IPTV if using his own data.

Amazon Fire 10 HD was out last year which I bought. Solely Wi-fi. Cannot use Most Google apps on it though as they seem to be competitors or have no agreement on things.

If all fails, you could search and download APKs instead of relying on the Play Store to grab apps.

I got a Fire HD 10 Wifi also. Add IPTV, and Bob's your uncle.
