What's all this 'MEN investigation' bullshit?
Despite even having written stories about him and published his photograph before, neither Mike Keegan nor any other of the paper's crack team of investigative journalists recognised Gill pictured on the front page of their own newspaper queuing up for semi final tickets, bold as brass.
It took a bluemoon poster to do so and set in motion a train of events where new victims were identified, both blues and Stokies.
Both the MEN and GMP had the biggest part of their work and research done for them by a single thread on his forum.
Keegan even posted on here asking for new victims to get in touch.
So instead of claiming all the credit for himself as some sort of Mancunian Woodward and Bernstein, or GMP acting like it was detective work worthy of the Queen's Police Medal, it would have been a courtesy for them to at least acknowledge that it was City fans on this forum, with additional help from the Oatcake forum, which did the donkey work in getting this scumbag dealt with.
We are quite happy to out the bad apples who would seek to sully our reputation.
Or are they only interested in portraying blues as the sort of fans who stab each other with screwdrivers?
Can't remember who it was, but fair play to whoever started the original 'look who's on the front page of the MEN'... thread.
It was bluemoon that caught Amrik Gill, not the MEN or the GMP
