Ancoats and Miles Platting parking zone

It's still only a proposal.
Plenty will be potentially affected by it but nobody will have been 'caught out' by it yet.

The map isn't great without a street names, but looks as though it covers up to Varley St on the NE border and that area had signs up saying a new restrictions in from Feb this year. It previously stopped at Rochdale Canal in that area now goes north across Oldham Rd to the railway track.

It is to stop city centre park and walkers, not really aimed at football fans but will affect them.

Street names or main ones are there but you need to make the pdf 500% to see them.

I went to visit a friend who lives on Butler Street milles platting on Sunday last week. When I came out of the block of flats I saw a warden giving tickets out. Non match day or co.op event. Residents permit holders only be careful.

We got a ticket for parking on private land across from a single yellow.

Aimed they say at commuters parking in residential streets, but like the existing RPZ covers industrial areas.

Anyone caught out by this new massive parking zone, 8 am to 9pm every day?

Noticed it yesterday. At least Bradford Road and Briscoe Lane are now fully open. Hopefully the Bee bus debacle is now resolved.
Manchester City fan reduction by stealth. It happened at Maine Road.

Parking is becoming an absolute nightmare
It fully achieved that status with booked places on the Orange Car Park post MCWFC game yesterday. Seventy two fuckin minutes to get out. There's more cars in that car park than travelling down Alan Turing Way but the lights to get you out allow four or five cars at a time. Horrendous.

Came out of the palace game to a parking ticket after parking on Piercy st, have parked there for last 2 years for mid week games no issues, I use the matchday bus for weekends.
I didnt notice the sign as you turn in to the street saying it was now part of the no parking zone.
Parked up under the yellow no parking between 8am-6pm sign as always and off i went to the game.
Ive appealed the fine on the grounds the yellow sign means I should ok to park after 6pm, but they aren't budging.
So I'm in the hunt for a new free parking area if anyone can suggest any?
Cheers
