cheeky git
been to wigan the last four seasons
cheap beer
shit fans
shit place
shit prices the season they thumped us 4-0

It was £35 once (same as Bunrnley and Hull is £32.50), but has been £25 or £27 all teh other times.

They took 6000 to CoMS once and showed us up (1-0 Cole FAC)

I would not say ot is a shit place, not when I was drinking 5% Ale in the Anvil for about £1.50 a pint.

Quantity of fans does not determin quality either, at least they give you no bother most of the time.

Do you think the OP has ever been to Wigan or any idea what it is like?
dunno about the OP
it was £35 four years ago, can't really compare today's prices with that, they probably reduced them after the boycott, but i remember the week before they had bolton and charged £16 the robbing *********
6000 at COMS was for a cup tie, lots bring extra for cup ties
i really can't stand wigan, worse place in the world to drive out of when you live in my direction
been on the train last two years which has been better

their fans do determine the quality, i have come across numerous of them sporting scum paraphernalia after the game

went to the play off semi there and my 11 year old daughter was knocked to the ground by their over-zealous police chappies

So uniteds fans are better than ours with that logic as there is more?

I think the more Lancashire towns that have clubs in the top division the better.

The ground has never been close to a motorway but neither has ours.

the observation wasn't about the number of their fans
it was about the quality
i'd go along with having teams in the prem closer to us, suits me fine

keep as many local teams up as possible no matter how shit there crowds are, makes for a cheaper away day for more of us blues who actually do go away

Yes and shit crowds lead to price reductions in the long term too, and pubs you can get served in etc

Get rid of the cheapest away?

You can tell that some fans never go.

West Ham have to go down, far too expensive and a right shit hole.

Wigan has cheap beer, tickets, close and a good day out.

crappy fish & chips too - although I wasn't prepared to queue up in the jellied eels line close to Green St to find out what they had there.

that said, my mother was born a stone's throw from the Hammers, and so they're her team still.

Personally it's the teams like Blackburn I despise the most - all of course from the Hughes days and their 'Blackeye Rovers' reputation I'd like to see relegated.

I'd happily pay an extra few quid to go to a different ground if it meant Dave Whelan was out of the premiership.

It's not about the place.

It's the shit support at home.
The shit support away.
The shit chairman bagging us at every opportunity for spending money, when he did likewise to get in the Prem in the first place.
The shit chairman naming the ground after himself.
The shit chairman sucking up to Fergie and praising just how good United are on the eve of a 3-0 forfeit.

Wigan.

Four above the drop zone. Say what you like about Hull and Burnley, but I would love it (Keegan style) if these fuckers went down.

And look at the draw — two very tough matches and two massive relegation six pointers:
Wigan v Portsmouth
Wigan v Arsenal
West Ham v Wigan
Wigan v Hull
Chelsea v Wigan

Stick a couple of quid on DWanker's men to go back where they belong.
i posted about 3 months ago that i thought wigan sadly would go, i want them to stay up, i want all our local clubs to stay in the prem. much easier and cheaper to make the games.

Hate Wigan, mainly because of the Almighty, self praising DW, the sooner he naffs off the better. Oh, and the fans are shit too.
