Ok, we seem to have a definition issue here: in refereeing Cheating will be when you purposely make a wrond call, knowing the opposite is true, with the intent to favor one side over the other. Makeup calls are a form of cheating.
Poor refereeing on the other hand is when you make a call thinking it's the right call, but in fact it is wrong, and you missed it because of your poor positioning, communication or just bad luck.
Most refs fall into the latter category, not the former.
So by your own definition Clattenburg is a cheat, thank you.
Making a wrong call and not seeing it are not one and the same. The brain is a tricky organ. It fills gaps all the time in your perception. Most refs believe they saw what they saw. Ssometimes I see one thing and replay confirms I was wrong. I didn't guess it, I thought I saw it. This happens all the time. So refs make mistakes like that all the time.no it is cheating, because as a referee you don't guess to give a decision. If you don't see it, you don't give it unless you inherently want to give it for some reason. If the police acted like that they'd end up like South Yorkshire Police...

Haha, calm down dear. Like with anything you've some good, some bad but with this current crop the good are well outnumbered.

So we are almost back to my opinion. Some good some bad and if they are not corrupt (which I do think anyone rational can think they are) then it evens itself out. Finally!

It is actually. It's making me ill. Hating it. How 12 hours of your life can cost this much and be this much hassle is a joke. Might not turn up. She has booked a six foot flower with our initials now for the stage. Another 350 quid. I have only got one mate - and that's fantasy island and I have never met him.

I don't agree for one minute that he tried to help us in any way. You said the Sterling handball decision was poor refereeing in one post, then said "made up calls" are cheating in the next. How is the referee giving a decision that has been proved not to happen poor refereeing? It's not, it's cheating, yet you don't want to admit it because you'll have to admit you're wrong and Dax777 couldn't possibly ever do that as we've seen in other threads.

The standard now is an absolute fuckin joke,I would be embarrassed if I was their employer !I genuinely think the referring in this country is first class. I don't go to the match to watch the referee and think over a season decisions even themselves out.
