And now Blockbuster goes Bust

So where would anyone recommend to get the latest movies from then now? Ive been a member of Netflix and Love Film where you stream the films and the selection is crap and dated. I know you can have them delivered at Love Film but that has to be planned in advance. Is there a decent site you can pay to stream the latest movies as and when you like rather than have to pay a monthly fee and not watch any.

1 x vuze

1 x isohunt

= pretty much every film ever

I download films from Sky On Demand they have loads of choice new and old but in HD. Doesn't cost if you've got the movie channels. Love it but I do also rent from Blockbuster Games and Blu-Rays guess that's not going to last.

Am I missing something with this Sky on Demand? I get about 7 movies for a week and then another 7 the week after and the vast majority are terrible. One decent release a week if that.

I'm sorry thats bollocks. HMV and Blockbuster haven't gone bust solely because of the economy but because peoples attitudes to shopping have change. Before you had no choice but to go to the high street to get the latest film or CD but now people are able to get them in the comfort of their own homes and for a hell of a lot less than what HMV and Blockbuster charged. Just a sign of the times and they failed to adapt and now they're fucked.
Absolutely on the money.

Companies that are innovative are still growing, SportsDirect.com saw growth of 13% last year.

Plug the router into your Sky Box or buy their dongle thingy for 12 quid or whatever it is. 1000 of films/ tv programmes etc etc...

SportsDirect are possibly the most efficient and on the ball company to shop with online. Amazing service.

Yes it's really good catch up tv the lot. Full series and film box sets well worth £12 for a wireless adapter.

Didnt blockbuster used to get DVDs to rent before they could be bought?

As kev said earlier, I did the exact same as him. I went to rent Brave and it was £3.50. It was in sainsburys for a ten spot and I knew my little one will watch those things countless times but half an hour here, an hour there etc so I could have paid 1/3 of the cost to own it and its possible I'd have to return it before she'd watch it. Plus it's inconvenient driving somewhere to drop it off.

If I do remember correctly I guess that changed with recordable DVD players.

For us computer near illiterates....what does that mean? Have looked at so many sites for films, (which I am happy to pay something for) but never know which to trust when it says you need to download such and such software...??
