Nasri picked up a knee injury in training yesterday according to the commentator. Didn't offer any further details.
Injury crisis again starting before the season even has started.. if true. so sick of there injuries all the time.
He will miss the Olympiakos game but should be alright for the Dipper game, only a slight knock.

James Milner is the ultimate professional, we need to keep him.

Best buy we've ever made

First bit has some merit...

But the second bit makes me think you are his agent.
had a 'couple of drinks'
but pound for pound this guy is what made the Old City move to the new City

When you say 'had a couple of drinks', I am presuming they were both pints of Sambuka?!?

The guy is a great team player, 100% committed and I would very much like us to keep him, but to say he is the best buy we've ever made......does somewhat of a dis-service to the likes of Merlin, Yaya, Kun, Vinny, Zabba, Joe.....and I could go on!!

Something like that, pal.

We should also hear tomorrow re Milner.

City have provided a briefing of their own today.

Bang on the money Tolmie, news out now saying Milner is going to stay & fight for his place.
Great News!
You mean he's decided to run down his contract and leave on a free next season?
No, it means City have decided to run down his contract and let him go on a free next season. If he'd stated he wasn't going to sign then City would decide whether to keep him or sell him now, it's not like there wouldn't be plenty of takers,

Unless he signs a new contract of course.

The season is 17 days until it starts (Community Shield) and 25 until it starts proper.

I believe its reasonable to show concern considering status of our forward players.

Nasri - possible Knee injury - hopefully will return for Liverpool friendly
Silva - carried injury throughout last season and got no protection from referees, yet to return for pre-season
YaYa - carried injury throughout World Cup, yet to return for pre-season
Navas - looks fit and dynamic and will be firing on all cylinders for start of season.
Sinclair - not going to cut it for what we are after unfortunately

Negredo - 5th Metatarsal - approx 3/4 months until match fit
Jovetic - has had pre-season but severely injury prone, who knows when next breakdown will occur
Aguero - injury prone last season and struggled throughout World Cup for fitness
Dzeko - Mr Reliable, seems to avoid injuries (fingers crossed) but yet to return for pre-season.
Guidetti - not going to cut it for what we are after unfortunately

So out of the above, how many of them players will be fully match fit come start of season?

All of them, apart from Negredo

Negredo obviously won't. Hopefully the others will be there or thereabouts. The world cuppers may be a week or so behind but it's more of a case of giving them a rest now particularly Aguero. It's the same for other clubs though. Certainly no current crisis as I see it.

I love your optimism but keep in mind we have to play the thugs Liverpool in a friendly just a week or two before we play them in the league.
