Andrea Cambiaso

Cambiaso making himself unavailable is gonna create a very uncomfortable situation for Juvé. He carried on playing as Juvé stuck to their crazy demands.

Now it looks like the transfer may collapse, I feel Andrea may do what Moose did, by excusing himself from the playing squad & making it abundantly clear he wants the move.

£50m plus add-ons for a player you're willing to sell, or fuck all & a pissed off, potentially disruptive & unmotivated player in your squad? Juvé are playing a dicey game here...

People always say that, but then players don't get their move and continue to play well. If he was the sort of player to down tools, we probably wouldn't be in for him in the first place.

Yep, I'm downgrading my expectations if we don't get a midfielder. With a new midfielder, I reckon we're a comfortable CL place. Without, I reckon it'll be a fight til the end for top 4.

If Dias, Ake, Akanji and Stones stay fit then we could cope without a right back but the midfielder is essential.

100% agree.

I'm sure we could find numerous clips of some of the worlds best getting done on many occasions over the years, They are also some of the world's best for a reason as they wouldn't have got done that often and they are defensively sound.

The obvious mistakes that Nunes has made are always going to be the ones that result in goals in which gets highlighted, He gets done on so many other occasions but because they haven't resulted in goals in more or less forgotten about. That one last night he was face on with his opponent he didn't even have his body on the half turn, Do that in a under 10s game and your being substituted

I don't like bashing any player, He's playing out of position I get that but even going forward he looks like he doesn't know what's going on half of time.
Under 10's..
okay mate...

Chances of a move to City don't come around too often. Evidently Juvé are happy to sell him, but for an exorbitant price. The player just wants Juvé to be reasonable so he can make his dream move.

If I was that player, I'd be extremely pissed. No different to Mahrez who downed tools to force a move, & Moose who made himself unavailable to force through his City move. In both cases, the players moved for far less money than their clubs were demanding.

Players have a huge say in their futures these days, hence why City won't stand in the way of anyone who's not committed & wants to depart.

Not sure if you've kids or not to play football on Saturday/Sunday mornings...

But I can assure you, If you are in a 1v1 defending situation and you go face on and get skinned...You do get a bollocking, It happens ALOT!

Maybe you do go and watch kids games on weekends and they possibly don't get given out to, The league our kids our in the managers don't like it at all...

If only they got 100k plus a week to make them feel better eh!

In Mahrez's case we had to wait a year to get him though if I remember rightly.

6 months, but he only returned to training with Leicester after they agreed to lower their demand & allow him to move at the end of the season. Leicester made a £64.6m profit on a player they'd owned for three seasons & bought for £400k.

He's a good footballer and a useful player to keep around the squad, which we will probably do. Nobody is comparing him to peak Walker or suggesting he should be first choice right back.
I recognise that some people think he is useful. We will have to agree to disagree mate. I think he’s awful. Just my personal opinion.

I
The Fernandinho that was 36/37 years of age when he was facing Vini Jr...I'm sure it would have been a different ball game if Ferny had faced Vini Jr in his pomp at 26/27 years of age, Plus Vini Jr was arguably the best winger in the world at that stage...

Nunes is 26 and he's athletic, He doesn't have much going on between the ears, I did state that his "lapses" actually happened in midfield areas somewhere he's used to playing such as Barcola on the half way line and last night was at least 20 yards outside the box...

He gets done an awful lot, Most times he does get done thankfully we haven't been punished, The obvious lapses are always going to be the ones that result in goals and the rest are forgotten.

I’m not disagreeing with most of what you say - I don’t rate Nunes at full back or midfield.

My point is that we need to sign an actual full back - midfielders playing full back aren’t what we need and they’re liable to lapses.

Fernandinho would make a better fist of it than Nunes, but even in his pomp I don’t think he would have been comfortable up against Vinicius 1-1 out wide.

We need to replace Walker and that means another full back.

100% agree.

Priority this window surely had to be a right back and a holding midfielder, Personally I don't see anything changing performance or results wise until that happens.

I agree with the first bit of that but we did sign Nunes and Mahrez, who both initially downed tools. Kane tried it too and we only didn't get him as we weren't willing to go so high with the fee.

Cambiaso has been seen pointing to the Juve badge recently too, though, so I presume the argument of him downing tools to force the move is a bit mute anyway. IMO anyway.
