Don’t see any point in buying that guy at all. Just buy a real RB and stop this versatile bullshit. It’s killing us. 80M for him is crazy. Max 45M player in my eyes. Juventus will hope to own PL players with the same amount of skill for 30M but want 80M from us. He doesn’t help with our defensive issues. Only city will be interested in an LB to play RB.

Agree with this… we really just need a competent right back - why are we over complicating things ?
He'll be a good squad player for us who Pep could mold into something. I don't agree with @King Jay on his versatility point, but he's judged Cambiaso the same as me since we were first linked. He's a decent player but another defender who can't defend and needs work. £80m for him would be bonkers.Never wanted him anyway.

If we don't sign a RB and this has a significant impact on our performances, then the club/management have only themselves to blame. It could be argued we do not even have a specialist left back. We got away with one specialist full back in the past as we had a world class holding midfielder and right back.
To be fair to management, they most likely do not want to panic buy and would rather take their time as they probably want to look at fairly extensive refresh of the squad.

He cost us goals in almost every game he played this season and his famous pace had gone. He wasn't first choice but yes seems pissed off he wanted and got a move, probably because as bad as he was in the end he was an experienced right back, probably our only one.
