Andy Burnham | Manchester Mayor

Burnham says the leader of Manchester City council would make a great next mayor

We are fucked whoever gets it. Please stay Andy I've changed my mind.

This will result in a Reform mayor for Greater Manchester and a Reform MP for Makerfield, are they stupid?

And if that happens, bluemoon will have endless pages of posters (Most of whom probably live miles away from GM) calling everyone thick cunts for voting for them...

There won't be any fingers pointed at the self serving egotistical plastic scouser dropping us like a stone and putting GM in the position for it to happen.

"My argument is that local authorities were manoeuvred into a position where they had no choice. Our 10 [local authorities] were given a legal direction to clean up the air by 2024 and, like Birmingham, like Bradford, like Portsmouth, they looked at the evidence and the only way they could do it that quickly was by using charges.

"So you are technically right to say the government didn't explicitly say you've got to do it via charges, but they effectively did because of the deadline that they imposed on people. I am conceding to you, the way you put your question is technically right, but I think it's duplicitous of central government to leave local authorities taking all of the blame."

Reading comprehension not your strong suit, or is this pedantry?

I am local, if people vote for them, thick cunts? I don't know, but they're one issue voters, people voted councillors in who can't do fuck all about immigration based on their grift, so. If we end up with Reform, we get what we deserve.

It would seem that reading through the bullshit is not your strong suit.

After months of blaming the government for his 495 square mile charging zone, not every borough of GM was actually required to make any changes or set any form of CAZ, good ole Andy was forced to come clean, whilst still trying to pass the buck for his scheme. He cost the taxpayer many millions of pounds for what has become a glorified ANPR system.

It's bullshit because you don't like Burnham even though massive pressure from Central Government and lack of alternatives is very obviously the cause, and not just Burnham throwing money at something he knew would be deeply unpopular.

He's definitely not the king of the North though mate.

When I see my council tax bill and what he costs me I feel sick.

Too right I don't like Burnham, he would have cost the working and poorer people of GM a fortune with his scheme.,

Burnham is a charlatan, same as Farage, same as Boris, all bullshit and failure.

It's a shame you can't see past the colour of his rosette ?

Ask how his homeless promises are doing after he'd spent other peoples cash for his own publicity ?
Ask how many affordable homes his taxpayer loans to his preferred developer delivered ?
